Shark Week (Bruhaha)! It might not still technically be Shark Week, but in our hearts Shark Week can be anytime, because we're always down to watch Shark Movies. In this, our Inaugural Megasode we're starting out with the film that got us into Shark Movies, and its very strange sequel: The Meg, and The Meg 2: The Trench.

We follow Jason Statham, we mean Jonas Taylor, as he battles multiple big fucking sharks, among other creatures. We talk about science fiction, shark behavior and species, and the Jason Statham Cinematic Universe timeline, and of course, homoerotic tension.

Films These Days is an unhinged double-feature podcast where our hosts watch two films that came out on the same calendar day (though often in different years) and try to find some commonalities.

In this inaugural episode, they look at one of the most infamous, celebrated, and referenced movies of all time, and also a TV movie sequel to an iconic teen movie.

Dylan would like to apologize for their audio quality, their microphone died like 10 minutes into recording and they had to switch, and did not properly set up the mix of the new mic before diving in.
