Our hosts also thought you deserved a fantastic guest for this little standalone ep and so decided to invite an erstwhile adversary of our Jen's, who garnered quite the reaction on social media on account of looking slightly more intense than he'd thought while appearing on The Chase back in 2019.

Tony was kind enough to share some of the more brutal social media posts with us, while Lucy takes us play by play through the episode, some parts of which our Jen still suffers with PTSD as result. NOW it's Christmas, as our Lucy and Jen finally let us hear what happened when they spoke to the one, the only, Christopher Biggins earlier this year, live on stage at The Museum of Comedy.

As you would expect, there's not a game or quiz show in the land that hasn't been graced by this national treasure's presence and so we get to hear some cracking anecdotes from dinner with Sinatra to hugging Ben Shephard, Biggins has done it all.

And as he is of course, the ultimate panto dame, Lucy and Jen test his knowledge on the subject... oh yes they do!

The FOB team will be back in '25 with lots more fun to be had, but in the meantime, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and HUGE thanks for all your support.

Journalist, TV and podcast presenter, Kate joined the gang for another live show, this time in aid of child.org and took part in quizzes referring to her stint as the youngest presenter of 'Smash Hits' magazine, her first, unforgettable encounter with the Spice Girls and a twitter spat between Nick Knowles and Kay Burley on whether it was Kate's suggestion that 'Candle In The Wind' should be used to commemorate Princess Diana ... spoiler alert no one really knows.

This was recorded in the week that ITV's show 'Quiz' brought 'appointment' TV back into our lives.

'Quiz' documents the story of Charles & Diana Ingram, who were found guilty of cheating their way to a million pounds on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' back in 2001.

A huge draw to the series is Michael Sheen's spot-on portrayal of host Chris Tarrant and the FOB team were beyond thrilled to be able to speak to Michael just before the final episode of 'Quiz' aired.

Michael has always been a lover of the quiz genre, relishing being quiz master and contestant alike and his inside information regarding 'Quiz' just goes to show how exciting he found the whole process of filming it.

We hear about the time Michael's family almost appeared on a TV game show, how he became the most excitable contestant to have ever been on 'Pointless', plus 'Chris Tarrant' pops in for this week's listener quiz.

We chat to Jack Yeo, who has turned his obsession with TV quiz shows into a career behind the scenes in game show development – he tells us about that, and how his analysis of statistics means he knows the best tactics for contestants to take on The Chase.

Our second guest is journalist Simon O’Hagan, who tells us about the challenges of setting the weekly quiz for the Independent magazine, the joy of finding great questions, and the art of writing an interesting and fun quiz.
