Darina is joined by Shane Ryan from Fiid, a range of plant-based ready-meals.

Shane started Fiid after being unable to find a solution for quick, easy, tasty vegetarian meals that are packed with goodness. Since 2018, Fiid has secured investment and created a board; employs 9 people and is exporting to the UK, Iceland, UAE and Asia.

In today’s podcast Shane shares his learnings in setting up a food business and the role Food Works played in that journey.

In the first of our podcast series, Darina Mulligan of Food Works speaks with Rachel and Brian Nolan from Nobó. Rachel and Brian took part in the first-ever Food Works programme in 2012. For 10 years now they have been on a mission to reinvent the classic treat to create kinder plant-based alternatives that are better for you and the environment. Their first product was a dairy free ice-cream made with coconut milk and avocado. Since then they have created a stunning range of chocolates and in 2021 opened their flagshop store, The Treathouse, where they have a Chocolate Lab, cafe and retail outlet.
