This week Grace and Alastair are joined a man who is already very important in their lives - a man vital to Alastair’s happiness and well-being, and therefore important to Grace too. He is Burnley manager Sean Dyche, affectionately known to Alastair as ‘the gaffer.’ Sadly, the gaffer disabuses Grace of the belief she has had all her life that Alastair is some kind of co-gaffer at Burnley, but more happily the Premier League’s second longest serving manager, who has performed miracles in getting Burnley into Europe, talks about much more than football - racism, sexism, homophobia, tattoos (he is not a fan!) And for listeners of Alastair’s generations, he has some great Brian Clough stories, not least about things he would not dare do and say to a modern player.
