Jesse Campbell & Georgie Strang: Eventing

Jesse Campbell - Young, talented and driven to succeed, at 21 Jesse became one of a small group of nine event riders selected onto the NZ Eventing High Performance Squad to be based in the UK. The squad included legends of the sport such as Sir Mark Todd and those at the forefront of Eventings future.

Georgie Strang - Georgie was taught to ride by her mother Debbie (who rode for Great Britain in endurance) and she started her career by being a very successful rider in the showing world. Highlights to date have included her being short listed for Team GB Junior Eventing, and more recently representing her country at Nations Cup Events and making regular appearances in top 4* level competitions.

As a young couple Jesse and Georgie have combined their business but still very much compete as individuals and are based at Sir Mark Todds yard. They both have a very exciting 2020 ahead!

Stable Stolen & my horses were in them

As if that wasn't enough, their 5 year old horse Michael became severely ill. Dr Rosemary Waring: Gut Dysfunction

Dr Rosemary Waring is a toxicologist interested in gut dysfunction and endocrine disruption. Rosemary is currently using metabonomics to investigate the effects of diet on the gut microbiome in man and horses. We discuss Equine Gut Dysfunction and how enzymes help, plus a new product called EquiNectar which is based on groundbreaking microbiome research, improving equine health and performance through enhanced digestion.

Dr Rosemary Waring is a Director of 'Tharos' and an observer on the Board of Ateria Health, both part of the Animal Microbiome Company. Plus independent toxicologist member of the COC (Committee on Carcinogenesis in Food, Consumer Products and the Environment), which is a UK government committee.

Helen is now Manager of Bicton Arena, she is a FEI Eventing Course Designer and competes in Showjumping. Helen was the youngest rider to ever compete in Prix St George.

Frankie Dettori wins Markel Jumping Challenge

Frankie Dettori MBE, won the Markel Jumping Challenge in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund at Olympia Horse Show and we caught up with him backstage, just after the challenge.Frankie is a household name, an Italian horse racing jockey, Dettori has been Champion Jockey on three occasions and has ridden the winners of more than 500 Group races. His most celebrated achievement was riding all seven winners on British Champions' Day at Ascot in 1996. He is the son of the jockey Gianfranco Dettori, who was a prolific winner in Italy. Such a character, Frankie showed Olympia his famous way he jumps off his horse. Justin Nelzen rescued 15 horses from floodwaters in Houston, Texas by jumping in and swimming them to safety!!Hailed a hero, Justin is extremely humble when he discusses with Amy, the moment he grabbed a life vest and went out to rescue a stranded horse. The death toll as of Monday night was at least five due to massive flooding in and around Houston, where up to 20 inches of rain fell in spots. Many are calling it the worst flooding in Houston since Tropical Storm Allison in 2001.Justin also talks about winning the Mongolian Derby, renowned for being the hardest Endurance Race in the World.
