you ever really knAllen drops the news that him and his wife are having their second child. He also thinks it's a ridiculous thing to publicize on a public platform. What he wants to give out to the internet and his fans alike, is what he does for a living. These things are just very personal and he doesn't want to use that kind of stuff as a leveraging chip for popularity or attention. With that being said, we'll be welcoming a new little Stone to the family this summer!

The boys then dive into their relationship with discipline. Allen talks about his lack of it and Julian talks about his extremist approach to it. At the end of the day, their work speaks for itself and it also speaks volumes to their disciplinary mindsets, but it's a fascinating thing to try and measure.

Allen also talks about his role on the new NBC show, "American Song Contest, airing on Monday's at 8/7c. All he can say, is that he hopes he gets to blaze with Snoop!

It was a privilege to have some of our favorite pals, and musical anomalies—Teddy Swims and Mac Ayers back in the studio. Hang with the boys as they dive in deep and relate a lot of their own personal experiences to each other’s. They talk about the experience of becoming “known.” What that’s done for their psyche and the way they operate nowadays. How they've adopted more anxiety and fear as soon as they got everything they thought they needed. And how they maintain their integrity in an industry that wants to commercialize everything. And most importantly, how gratitude is the attitude. Always.

Then Allen gets on his “have kids” campaign and they talk about being younger and the important relationships they fostered and how they would want to work to ensure their kids had the same experience. They talk about love and loss and family and how they have fun, and it's overall an episode about keeping that levity in tact. None of us are ultimately that important, so let's all just enjoy the ride and keep attempting to do what makes us happy.

This episode puts our lives into perspective and begs the question; how do you want to remember your life when it comes to an end? What their boundaries (or lack thereof) have looked like in their previous relationships. And how sometimes burning a bridge might be necessary? Then the boys switch subjects and talk about the origin or art. Do all things have the potential to be recognized as art? What’s NOT art? And after diving into all the approaches to creating it—how do we manage to make it matter? Then Allen gives his campaign speech to run for Senate--(not really) in this diatribe about the war on drugs and what he believes our country needs to do in order to fix it's inherent problem. Would you vote for him? We sure hope not.

EP. 6 - Nature Vs. Nurture

Allens family stuck together since the beginning. Julian’s did not. But despite growing up in very different conditions, they discuss how their connection to each other is undeniable. The boys take a journey through the philosophy of “nature vs. nurture.” They talk about how fear has played a giant part in their desire to be liked and loved. How they resist some of the simplest opportunities to grow, because they are enslaved to what they’ve been conditioned to prioritize.

Allen breaks down the epiphany he had on an airplane—"flying through the sky on a big tin bird and walking through the miracle of balance and nature, yet continuing to be glued to our devices." Admitting to not knowing what we’re doing and recognizing that our instincts aren’t always right. Dogs, and the different experiences Allen and Julian had at the middle school dances.

Allen talks about being a late bloomer when it comes to drug use and Julian talks about his premature introduction into it. Julian talks about sinking his family boat growing up and Allen talks about how he would never be able to own one for himself. But they both agree that having a friend with one would be ideal. Anyone? They also talk about wealth and what they would do with it if they ever made a LOT of it. Their relationships with money and the financial confidence in cultivating wealth that they have developed since the pandemic. Allen sings and beat boxes, Steve goes unconscious and Julian is wondering how much it's going to take to prove himself to himself.

"How Goods This" is a simple phrase that's pretty easy to understand, but until now, we haven't really uncovered "what's good?" So, as they move forward with the same non-scripted, ridiculously honest, funny but never fact-checked talks, they'll be bringing some positive news segments to the mix. Every episode will surround a couple/few pieces of "good news" whether personal or out in the world that the boys can anchor their conversations with. It'll keep them on track, give you something to rely on every week, and bring forth an approach to add more joy into your life each Monday.

This week, Allen talks about his experience playing at The Gorge Amphitheater with Dave Matthews on Labor Day weekend. How two of Daves band mates got Covid-19 and how they pivoted like pros and pulled off an exceptional show despite it all. A girl who just earned $20k for listing a uniquely puffed Dorito on Ebay, the partnership Advanced Auto Parts made with the Denver Police, and Quentin Quarantino: an internet meme'r turned social justice warrior.

EP.56 - Augie Bello: The Boy Wonder

Augie is not your typical 22 year old kid. He is also not just another saxophone player. I think we might call him a virtuoso. He won't say that about himself, but this young man possesses the talent, work ethic and brain to take himself as far as he's willing to go. And he's got a lot of goals, so watch out! As a New York native, Augie grew up following in his grandfathers footsteps of being a professional musician. Playing since the tender age of 4 years old, he latched on to every lesson and piece of encouragement he received until he was writing his own playbook. He recently graduated from The New School and hit the ground running. He's created his own unique style of playing and released several records of his own, he's recorded for multiple artists including Teddy Swims and Austin Kolby. But most recently, he's been on the road with our favorite boy, Teddy Swims. They've been opening for The Zac Brown Band and playing arenas all over the country, stealing the hearts of everyone.

With a little bit of time off, Augie has shared himself with us to talk about the awesome parts about being a professional musician as well as all the really difficult realities that people neglect to think about when getting into this profession. His humility and curiosity to learn more and grow are unmatched and we are so happy to introduce you to this, soon to be household name.

Styles Bentley, AKA The Sultan of Silliness, AKA Quarter Inch, AKA Chapus King AKA Brent Loya is finally here! It's been a long time coming, but Julian finally got to sit down with his best friend--the man responsible for being one of the biggest influences in these boys lives. Having grown up with Julian from elementary school to now, the two reflect on their youth and how incredible it was that they didn't wind up in jail or die. Now, a married man, and a father of three beautiful little girls, they can start to connect all the dots. From Indian Guides, to establishing the lifestyle brand, "Chapus Wu," to smuggling ounces of marijuana into Young Life camp, to exploring sex, drugs, rock and roll and taking turns humping the jets of their parents hot tubs, there's not enough bandwidth to cover a podcast long enough for these fellas to express their outlandish experience together. Overall, they realize that none of them would be who they are if it weren't for the tribe they continue to be so privileged to be a part of. And they encourage everyone to keep searching for their own. It makes all the difference in the world. And everything else is secondary.

It’s the official year anniversary since we released our first episode! Welcome to the 52nd conversation we have somehow managed to release to the world consistently for an entire year. Thanks for being here with us! Unfortunately, (for Allen) he couldn’t make it once again. He’s traveling back from Australia after a big week of shows. He'll be back with us next week. Instead, Stevie-Baby and Julian brought their counterparts on—Laura Jawer and Stephanie Fleck. Remember Stephanie Powers from episode 25? Allen and Julian sat down with her and got to know the Lightworker herself. Stephanie is an astrologer, an entrepreneur, an explorer of the soul and a podcaster, just to name a few things. She hosts Light Workers Lounge--a podcast that explores the human experience through all of its spiritual ups and downs. She's incredibly raw and open and had an incredible point of view about the world.

Julian was abandoned by his best pals this week, so he decided to bring her back and have her do an astrological birth chart reading. It's a pretty heavy conversation at times, but all with the intention of breaking through the walls we sometimes don't know how to climb over. EP.46 - The Hype Returns

So, the last couple of months the boys haven't actually been together. They backlogged a stack of episodes and put them out weekly. Did anyone know? That's why it was Allen's birthday for six episodes straight. But the boys left town and departed each other. Steve stuck around in Spokane WA, Julian went back to New York and Allen and his family went to Australia. They thought we'd be back in the attic by now, but things happened and their schedules got pushed back! Worry never though, because the boys have figured out how to keep this thing running! And it's the first real catch up since their departure back in March.

Take a seat as they bring you into their remote locations from around the world. Allen tells the ridiculous story about the only gig he's had in a year that went horribly awry, and the lengths he had to go to make it all work out. They boys catch up on what they've been doing since being away from each other. It's been big adjustments for all of us, but despite any of it, the boys are laughing their asses off at each other once again. And FINALLY Stevie-Baby is in the mix and we get to look at his beautiful face all episode long.

Allen thinks he’s lying for attention, but it opens them up to talk about their cooking styles and favorite meals to make. Who’s the kitchen king and why does Allen use so many god damn pans when he makes food? They talk about getting back on the road and playing live shows again with a new found respect for their time and energy developed in Covid times. There’s some outdated Covid talk but it’s interesting to hear the perspective the boys had earlier on and it’s actually kind of holds up. And as the world reopens, we actually have a lot to look forward to as far as live music, and possibly taking this show on the road! Then somehow they wind up talking about the regulation and legality of drugs in our country and how that’s affecting us as a culture. Allen Stone will be running for congress 2036. He's also produced and song-written for people like, Tedeschi Trucks Band, 50 Cent, Talib Kweli, Norah Jones and of course Allen Stone. The list is long and we don't even need to get into it because Krasno has a depth and beauty to him that transcends all of it. Mac dropped out of Berklee School of Music because he knew exactly what he wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it immediately following that decision. His ability to capture an audience with his silky voice and his epic swagger on stage caught the attention of the popular culture and he's been growing ever since. If you're older than 25, you probably remember Andy Dick from any of his appearances in films like, "Old School," "Zoolander," "Road Trip" or "Dude, Where's My Car." Or you might remember the decades of outrageous and controversial behavior that earned Andy a spot as one of the beloved icons of the American pop culture. Back in 2012, Julian was in a movie called, "21 and Over," whereafter he met Andy and Paris during the premier event of the awful film. It was an interesting might to say the least. The dynamic duo had started a musical comedy act way back then, and have taken it on the road ever since. They've done shows all over the country, flabbergasting their audiences with head turning material. They are currently working on developing the hit series, "Tiger Dick." A mockumentary based on "Tiger King." Andy plays a strangely spot on Joe Exotic and Paris plays his co-star--the tattooed, toothless, former flame, John Finlay. Keep your eye out. This episode packs all the punches--from cameo's by the reformed Christian and creator of the "KERMITorium Church--the beautiful Elisa Jordana, to a jaw dropping performance of their hit song, "FB." EP.27 - Jacob Hollister

As the football season has officially come to a close, we had the privilege of sitting down with Jacob Hollister of the Seattle Seahawks to talk about his journey into the NFL. Getting drafted as a rookie to The New England Patriots in 2017 was a big deal in and of itself, but going to the Superbowl that same year was a unique experience most professional athletes don't get the privilege of having. Although they lost, they went back the second year and won it, giving him his first Superbowl ring. In 2019 he was traded to The Seattle Seahawks. Jacob is without question an exceptional athlete, but he's also an artist. He plays music and enviably has a beautiful voice. He's found a way to navigate a professional football career all while maintaining his love for staying creative and having a well balanced life. For a young man who has achieved his level of success, his down to earth nature make him someone we're excited to hang out with and eat multiple Hot 'n Ready's from Little Caesars. If you like Allen's music, it's almost certain that it's because of the influence and or the literal creation of specific records you've heard the collaboration of Tingsek on. These two have worked together to create some of Allen's favorite songs and have toured the country together for many months. Tingsek has a thing about him. You can hear it in his music, but it's the most present when you get the privilege to see him live. There's something visceral about watching Tingsek play music. He takes himself on a journey as he plays, and the audience always gets to come along with him. We’re so thrilled he came on to reminisce, talk about what music means to him, and how he's managed to be both the artist that he needs to be and the amazing father that he is. One of the longest and most fulfilling relationships Allen has kept over the course of his life is Jess Carpenter. They both grew up in the same tiny town of Chewelah WA and became friends early on. Jess was always a kind hearted, generous and beautiful girl, so it was no surprise when she met her match in Mike Carpenter. After getting married and starting to build the life of their dreams, Mike was diagnosed with cancer. The tragedy unfolded as his sickness worsened--and after putting up an incredible fight, his life was taken.

Jess looked her worst fears in the face and found a way to combat them and rebuild the life she always wanted for herself and her husband. She became a world traveler, a blogger, and explorer of life and a human being who walks with gratitude everyday. Because she knows she's living her life the way Mike would have wanted to as well.

Sticking true to his first love, he moved to Nashville at 18 to get his voice heard. Stephen came to live with the boys for a week to film their Holiday Concert, and became best friends with everyone. Stephen came directly from the airport and dove straight into this conversation.
