After not seeing him at all for almost 20 years, I got a short job contract in South Africa and asked if I could come and visit him for a week at the end of it. It turns out we were both very nervous about how it would go, and if we would get along or have anything in common, but after about 15 minutes we decided we absolutely loved each other, and we haven't stopped since.

Steph is incredibly smart and passionate, and has a job that basically involves saving the world. I'm intimidated by her, but only in a way that makes me want to be better. Almost 10 years ago (10 years!) Steph and I went on a trip together to Japan, and it's still one of the best holidays I've ever been on. We went to Tokyo Disney Sea, a steampunk wonderland that is the best of the Disneys. Happy to fight anyone who disagrees.

Paul and I had friends in common before we ever met, and for a while we worked on the same TV show but in different offices. So the first time I actually met Paul was at a work party where I was accidentally very drunk, and when I saw him I pointed and yelled "I KNOW YOU". Great first impression. Anyway, now we actually know each other and Paul is talented and funny and lovely.
