Season 7 Premiere

It's the Season 7 Premiere and it's also 6 a.m. in L.A. during the live broadcast. As Trent tests out his new time slot, he's declares the new season will be all about unfinished business, which he seems to have a lot of.

While Trent finds his footing, he's trying to figure out which story he's gonna tell - and how he's gonna tell them, he starts with Durand Bernarr and his Tiny Desk concert while immediately switching reels to the new wave of "Christian Rebrands" that have irritated him to his core.

During the show Trent talks briefly mentions the Netflix Show "Beef", doing the right thing by people and defends his character after being called a "ghoster."

Later in the episode Trent talks about a new podcast, Reputation, by Ethan Ward - that he's really excited about, shouts out his sister and has an emotional moment talking about a dear friend.

Trent closes the episode talking about office drama, Hollywood nights with celebrities and the upcoming mercury retrograde.

It's the New Year! And something is in the air...other than weed smoke. If you'e never listened to an episode of In The Mix With Trent, this is "The Show" that will make you a fan.

Trent starts the show locked, loaded and ready giving gratitude and thanks for making it into the New Year while immediately going in for the kill to air his grievances.

The opening segment, full of teasers about Trent's New Year's Eve, being surprised by a friend from D.C. and shout out to his friends, is a days worth of entertainment, but enticing enough to keep the show going.

During the episode Trent talks about his "hoe phase", being contacted by his ex on New Year's Day, his crazy DMs, wether or not he's engaged and the makings of friendship.

Later in the episode Trent discusses, In The Mix With Trent TV, specifically episode 9 where he faces his fears with family trauma that he has been trying to relinquish for the last couple of years and the ramifications that come along with that.

Trent closes the episode thanking his VIP Subscribers, Dionne Warwick's new CNN documentary, "Don't Make Me Over" and in a very intimate and vulnerable moment, Trent goes off script to sincerely thank a friend.

Dave's Last Dance

It's the first live broadcast from the new Hollywood studio and it's riddled with technical difficulties. While trying to center himself, Trent attempts to move on with the show to tell the story of how he was called to the police station to pickup his Godchild over the weekend. While watching his Godchild, he realizes that he is not cut out for parenting and after 8 hours of Cocomelon he is questioning his duties altogether.

While thinking about Fatherhood, Trent further examines why he doesn't think Fatherhood is not for him.

During the episode Trent also taunts Dave and proclaims it's his last day. Trent also talks about how the universe tests you, the value of friendship, being social for the holiday season, which led him to talk about specific party he was invited to and his apprehension about going.

Towards the end of the episode Trent examines how some friendships are more than meets the eye.

Trent closes the episode talking about his new engineer, that he technically hasn't hired yet, who made up a word during casual conversation and it prompted Trent to be more excited about his impending arrival.

Yeah, He Went There

After being sick for 10 days, Trent finally got his voice all the way back and is ready to TALK ALL THE SHIT. Trent's first order of business is to antagonize Dave, his temporary engineer and to make peace with leaving the studio that has been his home for the last two years.

Trent opens the episode continuing his conversation about living beyond survival mode - where first learn to survive and how the universe starts breaking you of survival mode. In living beyond survival mode
Trent then talks candidly about how and why he would eat out of pain.

Trent then pivots the conversation directly to women about their lack of trust in men and the things they do that directly attribute to their lack of connection.

During the episode Trent talks about his lack of "trustworthy" friendships in Los Angeles and how a dinner with one of his east coast friends was the conversation he needed to regroup. Trent also talks about his annoyance with apologies in his life and his growing anger towards people fucking with him, an upcoming date and the cut off period for dumping someone.

Trent closes the show with the notion that we are still in the process of undoing some of the unhealthy traits in childhood.

With the live audience in limbo and unable to hear the show, Trent goes on with the show to come clean about his meltdown that's lasted two weeks and having sex with a woman he's had a crush on when he was 16.

During the episode discusses the downside of living in The Valley, being slut shamed, Pat Sajak and how "Black Mirror" episodes coming to life, specifically the "Striking Vipers" episode.

Towards the end of the episode, the live feeds come back up and Trent discovers that people were waiting for the live feeds to come back the entire time while talking about impregnating a woman during his 40th birthday party.

The Tapes

Fresh off of a lunch date in which he didn't eat, Trent rushes into the studio ready to work. After a nostalgic weekend, Trent is grateful, hopeful and is trying not to focus on the crazy shit orbiting in the world. Trent talks about In The Mix With Trent TV and all the additional work it has taken to make the show happen.

During the show Trent talks about a box of tapes he found over the weekend that date back 23 years. His discovery prompted him to air himself out, while also being reminded of the work he's put in to get to this point in life and the people that have been consistent in his life.

Later in the episode Trent talks about Insecure and a conversation about death.

Trent closes the show talking about evolution and honoring yourself.

It Is What It Is People

It's the end of the week and Trent is half sleep. After pulling another all nighter working on, In The Mix Trent TV, Trent is alert and aware enough not to respond completely to the latest verdict of a white man getting off the hook for murder and offers a theory on why white people get away with murder so easily.

After Trent makes his peace about being white in America, he switches reels to something more Black, The Verzuz Battle between Chaka Khan and Stephanie Mills. This causes Trent to have a real conversation about addiction, Black families and how they work in together.

During the episode Trent also talks about being invited to another social event and how the universe is urging him to be more forgiving.

Trent closes the episode talking about befriending celebrities and reminding the listeners to do something for themselves this weekend.

Are We At Church or Nah?

Relaxed and mellow, Trent comes into the studio after an eventful coffee date with his Mother. But before he can tell the story Justin, the intern, can't focus and keeps interrupting Trent with button presses. After sending Justin on a coffee run, Trent begins to tell the story about his own family pathology after his Mother asked him a triggering question.

Trent starts off the week in rare form. The energy is high, the mood is right and he's recovered from his temporary emotional upsets and food poisoning. He starts off the episode talking about @BevePaige thanking his on demand listeners, a "rough" sexual encounter and on a sentimental note, takes responsibility for something he didn't feel comfortable saying on last week’s show.

During the episode, Trent talks about his internet being down all day on Sunday and the ramifications of being offline, the latest episode of Insecure and Black people and mental health.

Also during the episode Trent talks about having a conversation with a friend who thanked him for cussing them out, random Facebook requests and a disturbing article Trent read about men.

He gives a shout out to a friend of the show Candice Renee, who invited Trent to an Insecure TV Show screening event. Before Trent gives a recap of the event, he mentions hanging out with hot guys and perfecting his edible recipe before serving his Mother a hot plate of shade. He then switches reels to talk about the Insecure event and how grateful he was to be in attendance.

Then Trent takes it left. He talks about the importance of watching what people speak over you and how tired he is of people coming at him, as he reads for filth, he leaves NO STONE unturned.
