This episode serves as an introduction for the Liminal Lantern podcast where I bring light to mythology, mysticism, religion, spirituality, and the supernatural! Aside from being an introduction, I also briefly discuss the tradition of sharing information orally. This is considering that by making this podcast, I am also sharing information orally. The oral tradition of sharing information has been used amongst many indigenous societies and also by those that come from an Irish Celtic background such as myself. I also use the discussion of oral tradition to Segway into the topic of Irish Celtic paganism and how the use of oral tradition has drastically changed over time due to the influence of colonialism and Christianity. As a result, the information that we currently have on Celtic paganism is not fully accurate, but with this podcast I will try to do my best to clear misconceptions and share as much accurate information as possible. This also goes for any other culture with distinct religious and spiritual beliefs who have been also affected by colonialism and Christianity in which I will also bring light to throughout this podcast.
