Sadly the project didn't come to fruition but the insights of Greg Saunier and profound and important. I don't think many people take for granted that they can throw down $15 bucks a month for a streaming service, have unlimited access to music and how little of this money makes it into the pockets of the artists.

Harold Budd - In Memory of His Life

I'm happy I have this document just not of me talking with Harold Budd but as a record of how joyous, open and warm he could be. One truly felt special in his presence. The the time we spent talking to him in his South Pasadena apartment was a blast. He, Kelly and myself had smiles the entire time. We discussed, the labels that have been placed on Harold's music, drinking wine and Harold sneaking into music clubs as a kid to see some of the great Jazz musicians. The loss of Harold Budd will takes a great deal of warmth and beauty from the music world and the lives of those who knew him. If you knew Harold I think this episode will help us remember how great he was. If you were a fan or didn't know his him or his music you will learn about a great artist and person.
