Episode 5 in the books. A wide range of topics in this one. We kick off with some Vikings talk on the preseason opener [2:05] before getting into a Linebacker deep dive [7:10]. We wrap up sports with some Loons talk and a Leagues Cup post-mortem [11:30].

After that we get into the variety, starting with a hypothetical discussion about where we would want to move to [22:00], Eric makes some great points about the tax haven of Delaware. Next, some quick hitters on cutting your own hair, crime, and non-crime podcasts we are currently enjoying, and then a broader discussion on food types we enjoy. Finally, after the post-closing theme, we are introducing a new segment with our Ombudsman [51:00], calling us out where we were wrong.

On this week's episode of the MN Sports Variety Show, we lean sports heavily. We start with the beautiful game, specifically, Minnesota United (specifically Bongi), and a quick reaction to the USWNT bowing out of the World Cup.

Then for the Variety portion of the show we discuss traveling, why Eric hates it and the FOMO we have for all of our friends going to Europe, Eric, and his neighbor have invented a new sport that we're sure will show up on the Ocho next year, and then we discuss pets, of which we have divergent opinions on the best kinds of pets.

Finally, we don't just talk soccer, we talk briefly about the Twins, the newest Big Ten realignment (welcome Washington and Oregon), and finally, Eric gives us a bit on the Vikings and his training camp report. You can't say we didn't go heavy on the sports for this one!
