The Reality of a Rare Cancer Community

But with that support comes the hardest part: the death notices. They appear weekly—sometimes daily—and it’s heartbreaking to lose people she’s grown close to. The Judgment I Face With Stage 4 Cancer

Why I Risked Going to the ICU for This Biopsy

Why I Still Take My Son to Daycare — Even With Stage 4 Cancer

From the outside, people see her running, parenting, staying active — and they wonder why she doesn’t just keep her children home full-time. What they don’t see is what it costs her body to “chase joy” for 24 hours straight, or why school and daycare have become part of her healing, her rest, and her way of preparing her children for whatever the future holds.

Yes, Michelle has cancer. And yes, she sends her son to daycare. Not because she doesn’t want to be with him — but because she wants to give him something that will last, even if she’s not here. Routine. Joy. Connection beyond just her.
