Hi everyone, Kevin here with a bittersweet announcement. After some discussion we've decided it's time to retire this iteration of the podcast. Nothing dramatic, just where we're at currently. But before you click that unsubscribe button, I enjoy podcasting too much to stop outright, so I'm confident something else will arise, and when it does this will be the feed.

That’s the bad news. The good news is I’ll be starting a new type of live stream on the weekends, specifically for the podcast audience! As regular listeners know I’m a big supporter of the Fediverse and the indie web in general, and have been trying to think of something I can contribute specifically to them. Most of my (air quotes) mainstream followers are really just here for the puppets (naturally), and may or may not be interested in the gaming or tech side of things. So starting this weekend, I’ll be doing some gaming live streams exclusively on our Fediverse-connected platforms, Owncast and Peertube. These will be done under the banner of Pixels and Puppets and will just be yours truly, not the Frankie vTuber, so it’s as unrelated to puppets as we get. I plan to mostly stream games, but I may even get into some tech stuff like what I’m tinkering with in self hosting or other related stuff like that. Might even convince the guys to join me.

These will just be casual and in the moment streams so there’s no fixed schedule, but they’ll all be archived on the Peertube server for viewing after the fact. You can follow on any Fediverse-connected account (like Mastodon or Pixelfed), or just join the Discord to see the go live notification. As always all the links are on https://www.operationpuppet.com.
