Philips has announced two new premium OLED TVs this week, with a host of features, including HDR10+ Adaptive, and, of course, the company's own lighting technology; Ambilight. But, with new screen technologies like MiniLED on the horizon, is OLED still the way to go? Pocket-lint's Rik Henderson was at the Philips TV & Sound event so is here to discuss the details.

Meanwhile, how do you go about instilling trust in a digital personal assistant that doesn't physically exist? That's just one of the questions host Stuart puts to the director of the Alexa Trust team at Amazon, Anne Toth.

Samsung unveiled no less than five devices this week, with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Buds 2 all now official. Pocket-lint's reviews editor managed to get some brief time with them all so gives us the rundown on what he thinks.

Stuart Miles then chats with Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the gaming legend behind Rez, Space Channel 5, Lumines, Tetris Effect and many other classics. He has recently curated the Virtual Realms exhibition at the Barbican, London, so explains the new games-related experiences it offers.

Pocket-lint has teamed up with Resideo - the new home of Honeywell Home - to plant trees in your name for free. We've already planted 1,000 trees, but we want to plant 3,000 more with your help and on your behalf.

If we can reach our target of 3,000 trees, it will mean we're offsetting around 900 carbon tonnes. That's the equivalent of over 1,000 return flights from Los Angeles to London, or the average CO2 a family of four uses over 150 years!

To help us help the environment, all you have to do is tell us the Mac address of a Honeywell smart thermostat that is active in your home or office. The thermostat can be already installed and being used or completely new - but it must be active and you must tell us before the end of April (30 April 2020).

The first is the Dyson Corrale, a hair straightener that uses lower heat than conventional products, with the company claiming it should reduce the potential hair damage. The next ten years promise to deliver further innovations in 5G, AI, autonomous cars and even, yes, a revival for augmented reality glasses, as the way we use tech constantly pushes us to adapt and change the way we live.

But, rather than speculate about what we will be doing in 2030, we're decided to focus on the next 12 months for the time being, as we try to predict what the likes of Apple, Google, Amazon and Microsoft will be revealing.
