This week Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella get involved with the Activision Blizzard Acquisition by prodding the 'competition' rhetoric. Logitech also announced a handheld compatible with Xbox Game Pass and Xcloud, but at a steep price. Weirdly, Xbox trademarked 'Gears Of War' for tabletop and card games. Ex Playstation head also comments on PS Plus, supporting the absense of day 1 games. HOWEVER, the most important news is that we can make our elite series 2 controllers go pretty colours, yay.

Things get ZESTY as Xbox retorts to Sony's claim about the Activision-Blizzard acquisition, Call of Duty and the potential of Xbox being anti-competitive, by accusing Sony of paying for 'blocking rights', or what we can infer, is to stop games coming to Xbox games pass. We first heard about this last year in the Epic vs Apple court case, but hasn't been acknowledged in any official capacity until now. Is this petty? Or is this just business and a different way to view exclusivity now that subscription services are on the rise?

In a fascinating saga courtesy of the Brazillian government, we learned about what many major video game publishers really think about Xbox's ActiBlizz acquisition. A 4-year-long Blizzard mobile World of warcraft project was reportedly cancelled and there are a couple of hardware updates and rumours including a possible Elite V3 and a Series S update to boost performance.

Moreover, Joe Staten spoke about Halo Infinite cutbacks including a crafting system that was scrapped early on - the Halo zealots reacted very calmly and rationally to this, honest. Lastly, A games pass family plan has been officially confirmed by going into insider testing In Ireland and Columbia, confirming reports that came last year from Jez Corden (bean boy) at Windows Central.

Other than sales reports, its been pretty quiet this week for Xbox, though the numbers are interesting and warrant a good chinwag. Numbers are down but Xbox has managed to snatch the market leader title for 3 quarters running in NA. However, Warhammer: Darktide got a delay until November (with Xbox coming shortly after).

Other than that, MultiVersus has made a massive splash (and we love it), Jeff Grubb at GiantBomb leaked a Black Panther game, Playstations timed exclusive KOTOR has been indefinitely delayed, Roblox OOF noise is removed and more. Come join!
