The work delves in to the feeling of being on the precipice of a choice - in this case, whether or not to have children. Ollie shares his experience of having his eggs retrieved at the young age of 19 before starting testosterone, and now being ten years older, mulling over what this means to him (and to his partner) now.

We chat about how strongly it feels like those within the entertainment industry are expected to ‘take’ more when it comes to public criticism - or even bullying - and we talk about the really interesting line that exists between constructive feedback and nasty, personal comments, and why people who grew up as theatre kids specifically feel such a strong inclination to make them loudly known.

We also chat about the phenomenon of rage bait and the dangerous direction critique can lead to when everyone feels like they need to have a new and CRAYYYZY opinion from the last person.

We end the episode talking about casting notes scandal that went down at St Michael’s, a personal nightmare of Sam’s and a hypothetical about whether or not we would all choose to have access to everything that’s ever been written about us.

The episode then launches in to a really interesting chat about body neutrality and cultural differences in how people across the world talk about ‘fatness’; inspired by a plus size mall in Bangkok that features a number of shops that really tell you on the tin exactly what they sell! Mel also opens up about how she talks about bodies in her relationship, when (in her opinion) it is and isn’t helpful to use certain language and lots lots more.
