J’ai vécu mon baptême du premier Hellfest durant cette édition de 2024…

 Je suis quand même partie bien équipée avec un duo qui, pendant toute l’ année qui précède m’ont expliqué comment allait se passer mon Hellfest et m’ont donné des conseils. J’avais donc beaucoup d’appréhension mais aussi hâte de découvrir ce microcosme par moi-même, car oui, pour moi, c’est un microcosme. Pendant ces cinq jours, le temps s’arrête, et tout le monde vit d’une manière différente. 

J’ai adoré sur la route voir à presque 600 km des T-shirts noirs de partout dans des stations-service, j’ai l’impression de voir une nation se réunir pour un week-end. 

Ma première impression a été sur les décors. Des décors finis, magnifiques et gigantesques. Mon coup de cœur est vraiment la fontaine de sang du bar VIP. 

Ma deuxième impression a été sur l’influence et le monde. Je pense qu’il faut vraiment se poser cinq minutes et regarder autour de soi pour se rendre compte à quel point ce festival attire du monde, j’ai adoré voir un défilé de tatouages et de T-shirt différents. 

Ma troisième impression, c’est les concerts que j’ai pu voir. J’ai rarement été déçu du son ou des prestations. Énorme coup de cœur pour trois groupes que j’aimerais citer Pensées Nocturnes, Houle et Ice Nine Kills qui m’ont vraiment plus au-delà de mes attentes. Je peux quand même citer quelques déception aussi, comme Slaughter to prevail, un groupe très mauvais sur scène.

C’est seulement à la fin du deuxième jour que j’ai trouvé mon premier défaut à reprocher à ce festival. Le vendredi soir était un soir de débauche pour le public, vous allez me dire que ce n’est pas vraiment un défaut pour beaucoup de gens qui aime faire la fête mais j’ai vraiment trouvé un excès dans la consommation d’alcool ce jour-ci et j’ai eu du mal à trouver ma place dans le public. Heureusement, tout s’est rétabli le samedi et le dimanche qui ont été des jours, très calme. 

J’ai aimé voir Metallica sous la pluie, chasser des gobelets et rencontrer de nouvelles têtes. 

Ce qui m’a le plus impressionné n’était même pas la grandeur du site ou bien les artistes mais l’organisation du festival. Je ne m’attendais pas à une telle précision dans les horaires. Je trouve ça toujours fou que les concerts soient espacées de cinq minutes entre deux scènes voisines, que beaucoup de groupes commencent leurs concerts sans avoir le temps de faire de balances ect..

Pour moi, ce festival est donc quelque chose à prendre comme une expérience. D’accord ça fatigue énormément. D’accord quelques fois on peut croiser des gens pas forcément agréable. OK tu tombes sûrement malade vu les changements de température. MAIS c’est un peu la magie de l’évènement. Je remercie encore (presque) toutes les personnes que j’ai rencontré. J’espère vous revoir l’année prochaine.
