Tim Reddish CBE was born and bred in Nottingham, England

He was a keen swimmer, little did he know what life had in store for him 

At the age of 31 Tim was sadly diagnosed with retinitis Pigmentosa which over time sees a person lose their sight 

Did this stop Tim? Not a chance he went on to win 5 medals for Paralympic GB team 

That’s impressive, what’s even more impressive is what follows in Tim’s career. He goes on to become the Chairman of the British Paralympic association and even the international Paralympic board member

Arron's professional debut came on 28 April 2006 with a victory over Tommy Jones at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. He fought and won four more times that year before meeting undefeated fellow prospect Anthony Small at the Elephant and Castle in Southwark on 21 October 2006. Arron fought just once in 2008 defeating Tony Randell before returning in 2009 and scoring wins over the likes of Dee Mitchell, Danny Gwilym and Taz Jones. On 18 December 2009 however Arron's hopes of completing a series of wins in the year were dashed with his first career draw against Max Maxwell over six rounds at the York Hall. In 2010 Arron was chosen as a participant in the tenth installment of the Prizefighter series which this time featured light middleweights. The tournament on 26 February 2010 pitched Arron in the quarter finals against George Hillyard with the Prince winning on points. The semi-finals resulted in a career best win for Arron with a win over the tournament favourite and former Commonwealth champion Bradley Pryce. In the final Arron faced former amateur champion Brett Flournoy who had fought his way to the final with wins over the undefeated Steve O'Meara and former British title challenger Danny Butler. A close final turned the way of Arron, when in the third and final round, the tournaments only knockdown resulted in all three judges scoring unanimous decisions.

He won the British title from Sam Webb in London in 2011.

A forward, Twaddle began his career with junior club Dunbar United. He entered senior football when he signed for St Johnstone in 1994. He remained at McDiarmid Park for two years, making 51 league appearances and finding the net on ten occasions. In 1996, he joined Raith Rovers in an £80,000 deal. He made 32 appearances for Rovers in two years, scoring four goals. He moved to Morton in 1998 for a fee of £150,000, but his stay at Cappielow was brief.

Scottish Premier League club Motherwell signed him later that year, also for £150,000. Twaddle signed for Hearts, the club he supported as a boy, in June 2002. He only played eight league games for the Jambos in his twelve months with the Edinburgh side. In 2003, he joined St Mirren, but again his stay was a short one, and he moved on after making only three appearances.

Twaddle joined Scottish junior club Penicuik Athletic in the summer of 2004.

Wayne Alexander ABA amateur champion, British Champion and European, A generation of fight fans will have missed out on witnessing the explosive punching power of former British, European and WBU champion

Wayne Alexander who at one stage seemed destined to be the heir-apparent to the Dark Destroyer Nigel Benn at Light-Middleweight. His one-punch demolition of Mehrdud Takaloo to win the WBU title was his finest hour in a fight career that had at times lengthy bouts of inactivity where Alexander admits to lacking motivation and discipline at times during his career over a period of 11 years in which he fought 27 times with a record of 24 wins and 3 defeats.

Alexander however had the heart of a lion and with notification of just one day stepped in as a late replacement to take on WBO Light-Middleweight Champion Harry Simon who he rocked in the 2nd round before losing by TKO in the 4th round.

He made his Scotland debut in 1986 against France and went on to win 44 caps at prop between 1986 and 1992, with a record 25 as captain. He was also the first choice loosehead prop with the victorious British Lions in Australia in 1989.

In 1990, Sole was captain for a Grand Slam decider at Murrayfield against hot favourites England. This is sometimes considered to be Scotland's greatest match, and one well remembered, as Richard Bath wrote:

"David Sole is another of those players who is remembered and virtually defined by one moment: in this case it was when he made the decision for his side to take the now famous walk onto the pitch for the Grand Slam decider against England at Murrayfield in 1990. As a statement of resolve, it was a masterstroke from which the English never recovered as they lost the most high-profile game in Five Nations Rugby history. It also cemented Sole's name in Scottish folklore... "[David Sole was] one of the game's most softly-spoken and considered men off the field and one of the most inspirational and thoughtful captains and players on it."

Scotland won 13-7, denying England the Grand Slam and claiming their third Grand Slam after their previous triumphs in 1925 and 1984.

He captained a World XV to a victory against the All Blacks in 1992. He made his final international appearance for Scotland in 1992 against Australia. That year he stood for election as Rector of the University of Dundee, but despite being the favourite candidate he was defeated by Stephen Fry.

Since retiring Sole has worked as a co-commentator for BBC Scotland's coverage of rugby union matches. He has also embarked on a successful career outside of sport, becoming Managing Partner of "School for CEO'" in 2017 as well as Non-executive director of AM Bid Services. He was educated at Blairmore prep school and Glenalmond College, a private school in Perthshire.

Three of Sole's four children have also represented their country in international sport. His sons Chris and Tom both play for the Scotland cricket team, while his daughter Gemma plays for the Scotland netball team. His other son Jamie is also a rugby player, and played professionally with Newcastle Falcons.

Through Matchroom, Hearn is also involved in many sports including snooker, darts, pool, tenpin bowling, golf, table tennis and fishing. Hearn is currently the chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation, and was also until July 2010 chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA). He was also, until July 2014, the chairman of Leyton Orient F.C.

A promotional and marketing genius some may say, I certainly do! This was a bit of a dream come true for me being able to host one of the most successful sporting promoters ever, severely star struck to say the least and extremely humbled to have had you on Barry. The list of achievements you have in life and that go getter attitude is really something I aspire to.

2021 has arrived and we're back with a bang!! Tonight we have former First Class cricketer, ex Ireland Coach, ex assistant national coach of South Africa and now first team coach at Hampshire County Cricket Club, Adrian Birrell.

What can I say.. The man who not only coached a Scotland team to victory over the auld enemy but the man who has instilled confidence in a group of players to believe they can walk out onto a pitch and beat anyone in front of them. I hopefully speak for the whole country in saying that I will be forever grateful for that day and I can see the confidence in the boys that there will be many more like it for years to come.

How a major injury at a young age can have a huge effect on physical health but more importantly the mental health aspect, how he coped and got through the other end.

Its a testament to you as a person how you got through all that and got back playing. This week we have an interview with a difference! Today I am being interviewed by my new co host, Ryan Flannigan, Ryan was my first ever podcast guest and I love the vibe he is going to bring to the show! A pleasure to have you on board Flanners!

I go through my early days as a cricketer up through the ages, the highs and the ultimate lows in cricket. I then fully open up on the tough times in my life and how I'm slowly but surely getting better with my mental health. The podcast has been a brilliant outlet for me, being able to share experiences with athletes from around the world and also see how they also dealt with the pressures of the game and outside of it.

Ruaridh scored his first points in a Scotland jersey in a situation that some would say only dreams are made of. Slotting home a 22 metre penalty in the last kick of the match against Samoa in the final EMC Autumn test of 2010, not only that he done it at Pittodrie Stadium in his home city of Aberdeen!

He became an important part of the Scotland squad earning a further 14 caps for his country. Unfortunately a bad knee injury put a stop to his progress with the national team and his new team at the time, The Wasps.

Ruaridh battled back to fitness for club and country and managed to feature again for both!

Jackson has now decided its time to hang up his boots and the end of this 2019-2020 pandemic affected season. I wish you all the best in your retirement! It was an absolute pleasure to have you on as my first rugby guest. Good luck in your new ventures!

I have known Calum for many years, I watched him as a boy prosper at Drumpellier Cricket Club, moving through the ranks of the Scotland boys set up at the time, playing along side him for Scotland and now the player he has become for Scotland makes me incredibly proud.

He's had troubles along the way with his bowling action, as he mentions he will always be that angry fast bowler in his head, but managing to turn his game on its head and become one of Scotland's best ever batsmen just shows the character and fight of the man. To score a hundred in any format against anyone is special, but to score a huge hundred against the auld enemy on home soil in front of 3000+ fans is what dreams are made of.

Shane Burger, a legend in his own right in Gauteng, has a First Class career that lasted 13 years from 2002-2015. A healthy run rate in First Class, List A and T20 cricket. He is now our Scotland National Team coach and is very privileged to be!

Your career, for any young cricketers out there watching, is one to watch back on and its not finished yet.

Listen as we talk through some of his biggest innings and what it felt like to be in those positions. A high score in tests of 290, the highest of any New Zealander in Australia at the WACA, is probably the pinnacle of his career for me. Highest run scorer in Tests and ODIs with 7238 and 8574 for the Kiwis, averaging over 45 in both formats. A stalwart for New Zealand over the years.

Tonight on the show I have ex Rangers FC, Peterhead, Kilmarnock, St Johnstone, St Mirren, Raith Rovers goalkeeper and current Head of Academy Goalkeeping at Rangers.

An interesting career that spanned nearly 2 decades. A Scottish cup winner and UEFA Cup runner up with Rangers, a lifelong dream to play with the team he loved growing up but frustratingly up against Greegsy for 2 seasons. He flourished after a couple of injury beaten seasons with St Johnstone and St Mirren he signed for the Blue Toon, Peterhead, winning league 2 and making it into league 2 team of the season the same year.

He now has the pleasure of working for his boyhood Rangers and I assume wakes up with a smile on his face every morning he travels to the Rangers Training Centre.

Is it our year? Can we stop 10 in a row? Smiddy thinks so and really so do I!

Adam Hollioake ladies and gentlemen!! Adam has quite the story he shares with me today, he gives a very honest and open account of his life.

Him and I have both lost a brother and we would like to take the opportunity to make our episode a tribute in their fine memory and to anyone else who has lost a sibling.

Hamza would have been a young man in his 20s now, he was born with a life shortening illness called Sudo Obstruction, he was taken to Great Ormond Street in London and spent a lot of his life at Yorkhill Hospital. Sadly at the age of 5 his fight with the illness would end. All of my family would miss him dearly.

Ben who sadly passed away from a car crash in Australia was only 24 years of age and was only just coming into the peak of his life. Playing cricket for England in all formats at the time. Following his passing Adam and his family have established the Ben Hollioake fund.

Myself and Adam would never change the time we got with them both.

Fudgie is mate of mine from a long long time ago. Tipped to be the next Jonty Rhodes in the field in his early days! A flashy middle order batsmen none the less; averaging 30.68 in ODI's, 32.37 in T20I's and 41.17 in First Class. Brilliant averages to hold across all 3 format! South African T20 player of the year in 2012. However, In a dressing room full of superstars opportunity started to become limited however he always took his chances and was appointed T20I captain in 2017 for a 3 match series against the Sri Lankan's. Stirlo is an old Irish opponent of mine from many moons ago. A gentleman but a fierce competitor none the less!! 9 ODI hundreds, 2 of which before he turned 23 against Pakistan, and 24 50s. He holds the highest ODI score made by an Irishman 177 (134) against Canada in Toronto. Then most recently absolutely smashed 142 against England contributing to another famous win against them. This is a special one for me, Drinno was one of my first Scotland coaches in my early days for the National team. Vari was the first ever girl I saw playing cricket and she went all the way to the top representing Scotland from 2001-2007. With best figures of 4/38 against Pakistan. Also an East Kilbride Cricket Club legend taking plenty of wickets during her time with the club. Vari then went on to serve her country in the British Army and the Royal Navy, something anyone should be very proud of.
