Outre ses fonctions de dirigeant, il est également professeur associé à l’école d’ingénieurs Telecom Nancy sur les sujets de cybersécurité.

Pour discuter du sujet des API avec une orientation sécurité il a convié Georges Berscheid et Tim De Boeck.

Georges Berscheid est le co-fondateur et CTO de Mpulse, un spécialiste du routage télécom et des micropaiements, et de Finologee, le premier opérateur de plateforme financière numérique du Luxembourg. Il a ouvert la voie aux FinTech "made in Luxembourg" en lançant et en dirigeant une variété de sociétés et de produits au cours des 15 dernières années.

Quant à Tim De Boeck, il est architecte de solutions chez Noname Security. Il conseille les clients sur les meilleures pratiques en matière de technologie et de processus pour atténuer les risques provenant des applications et des API. Avant Noname Security, Tim a occupé des postes similaires chez Palo Alto Networks et IBM, avec 25 ans d'expérience dans la sécurité informatique et l'architecture de sécurité d'entreprise.

In a 2017 study into female representation in the cyber security industry, Kaspersky Lab delved into an industry where only 11 percent of the professionals were women. The study showed that, contrary to the widespread notion that women did not possess the necessary skillsets, they were in fact equipped with all they needed to excel in these positions already.

Thomas is an entrepreneur, investor, and investment advisor who has a special focus on FinTech, Open Finance, and 5G. Among others, he has helped to build the foundation of Swiss FinTech unicorn Numbrs. Being a true digital technology expert, he also authored two bestselling books about the Silicon Valley. As we just started a new decade, we wanted to reflect a bit on what happened in the startup world in 2019 and also think about what lies ahead in 2020.

For this, there is, of course, no better way than asking some of the leading figures of the Luxembourgish and European startup ecosystems for their opinions. So Charles-Louis Machuron, Founder & CEO of Silicon Luxembourg, sent a few voice messages to some people and asked them how they look back to last year and what type of trends and opportunities they see coming in the new year. You can now listen to their replies in form of this first season of our "Voice Message From..." series.
