Oh là là, we went to France! For Celeste, it was the culmination of a lifetime dream. For Gerard, it was a chance to open a new chapter in his Travel Collection. Now, where were we? Celeste and Gerard return with the stamp collecting podcast for people who don't collect stamps!

To help refresh everyone's memory, in this episode we read some of your comments on our first few episodes. Which comment inspires a whole new segment?

Thank you to everyone who has tuned in so far. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Especially from guys called 'Chris' or 'Kris'. There are like a dozen of them in this episode, and they’re all different people.

The final British stamp releases under the reign of Queen Elizabeth included issues celebrating Iron Maiden and the X-Men. They’re vibrant, colourful and fun. So why do some collectors see this moment as their chance to close their albums and head for the door?

In this episode, Celeste pokes through Gerard’s album of 20th-century British stamps as they discuss the changing role of Britain’s so-called ‘special stamps’.

They also take a look at the new definitive Charles III stamps as they replace the iconic Machin definitive stamps of Elizabeth II.

It's the first-ever episode of the brand new stamp collecting podcast, Stamps Aren't Cool! Hey, come back! The social media generation is blowing the cobwebs off the dusty old hobby of philately, and discovering what it has to offer in the 21st century. Stamps Aren't Cool explores this world, while trying to avoid getting too nerdy. Your hosts are Gerard - a comedian who writes the stamp-collecting blog, Punk Philatelist - and Celeste, a non-collector who will ask questions on behalf of normal people, and also tell Gerard if he's waffling on too much. Philatelic news, collecting advice, dumb jokes and more. In their first episode, Gerard and Celeste introduce themselves and contemplate how it came to this. And Celeste reveals the lengths to which she's prepared to go in order to prove that no one's watching.
