In March 2023 she had an accident in training that left her with a broken pelvis in 5 places. She was airlifted to hospital where she had 2 surgeries and suffered an extremely painful recovery period for 31 days. After intensive physio and hydrotherapy, she is recovering and living life with a new found appreciation.
