Taking the grand prize for most pythons captured from a professional was Mike Kimmel, a trapper with Martin County Trapping, Removals and Wildlife Rescue. He is well known as @pythoncowboy on Instagram and YouTube.
Kimmel caught eight pythons making up 10% of the total number of pythons caught during the bowl, it was his first Python Bowl. The longest and heaviest of these slithering beasts was 12 feet, 7 inches and 63 pounds. With more than 750 registered competitors from 20 states, Florida Python Challenge's 2020 Python Bowl came to a close during a ceremony Saturday at Bayfront Park in Miami, about a week after the hunting stopped on Jan. 19.

Burmese pythons are taking over the historic Everglades. Hunts are held regularly, but the number of snakes removed is not on pace with the rate at which the snakes are spreading. They compete with and prey on native species.

Hitch was previously the flatmate of Amy Winehouse.Hitch has performed alongside 50 Cent and The Streets. Along with Ke$ha, Sean Foreman, and Benny Blanco she wrote the song Blah Blah Blah. In 2010, she also collaborated with 3OH!3 on "Follow Me Down", for the Tim Burton Disney movie Alice in Wonderland.

Hitch is a client of American producer Benny Blanco and is currently working on her debut album tentatively titled "Beg, Borrow and Steal." British singer-songwriter Neon Hitch’s life has been about as normal as her name would suggest. “The day I was born, my house burnt down; the day I left home, the Twin Towers burnt down; and I lived in a jungle in India at 15,” she says. “I have done my fair share of traveling, that’s for sure.” No kidding—she spent the majority of her younger years as a gypsy, circling the globe (and living in a bus) with her mom and sister as a street performer and trapeze artist, while her lighting-artist dad toured with the likes of David Bowie, Duran Duran, and Annie Lennox. “I was always a bit of a showgirl; it was in my blood (and my name),” she confesses. “I never thought I would have a career as a singer, though.”

Colin Macy-O'Toole Returning deckhand. Colin Macy-O’Toole is ready to take on the South of France and all the challenges that are sure to arise. Colin grew up on the south shore of Long Island, New York and has a degree in music. Although music is his passion, boats are his life. He started working as a deckhand when he was 15 years old, and when he’s not crewing the Sirocco, he is the Ferry/Port Captain in charge of all the comings and goings of all the Fire Island ferries. Colin is single and ready to mingle with his infectious sense of humor. He is a quintessential New York Italian Momma’s boy, who has a very strong connection to his friends and family. This fish out of water may get homesick, but he is excited to continue in learning more about the yachting industry on his new adventure.

Early years

Danielson holds the record for the fastest ascent of Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, in the Mount Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb. The previous record holder was professional cyclist Tyler Hamilton. He also holds the record for the Mt. Evans Hill Climb in Colorado, which traverses the highest paved road in North America. The previous record holder was Jonathan Vaughters, who is currently Danielson's manager.

In 2004, Danielson had an uneventful stint on the Italian UCI ProTeam Fassa Bortolo, missing the early spring campaign because of visa problems. Subsequently, he raced for the American UCI ProTour team Discovery Channel, with which he won the 2005 Tour de Georgia and the 2006 Tour of Austria. Since Discovery Channel disbanded in 2008, Danielson has been part of the Garmin-Chipotle team.

2010

Danielson started the season by finishing twelfth at both the Tour Méditerranéen and the Tour du Haut Var. Following his two twelfth-place finishes, Danielson, however, struggled through Paris-Nice; finishing only fifty-second overall. Following, Paris-Nice, Danielson regained his form at the Tour of the Gila; placing second to Levi Leipheimer (Team RadioShack). A couple of weeks later, Danielson rode the Tour of California, but was unable to complete the race. After California, Danielson returned to form at the Tour de Suisse, finishing twenty-fifth overall. Following Suisse, Danielson finished in eighth place at both the Tour de Pologne and the Trofeo Melinda. A month later, Danielson rode his fifth Vuelta a España. He completed the race as the highest placed American, in eighth place. Danielson concluded the season with a thirty-ninth place at the Giro dell'Emilia.

2011

Danielson started the season with the Vuelta a Mallorca, and finished thirty-sixth in the third classic, the Trofeo Deia. Danielson, however, was unable to complete the fourth and fifth classics, the Trofeo Magaluf-Palmanova and the Trofeo Inca. Following the Spanish "Vuelta", Danielson finished thirty-first overall at the Volta ao Algarve, and a preseason best of twentieth overall at the Vuelta a Murcia. However, after Murcia, Danielson's form deteriorated, finishing fifty-fifth overall at the Volta a Catalunya, forty-seventh at the Gran Premio Miguel Indurain, and eightieth overall at the Tour of the Basque Country. Following Basque Country, Danielson withdrew from racing, and focused on rebuilding his form. A few weeks later, Danielson returned to racing, and finished twentieth overall at the Tour de Romandie. After Romandie, Danielson finished third overall at the Tour of California, and ninth overall at the Tour de Suisse, which ultimately led him to a Tour de France debut. At the Tour, Danielson rode well, and finished as the highest placed American, in eighth place. After the Tour, Danielson finished fifth overall at the Tour of Utah, and fourth overall at the first addition of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Following the two American stage races, Danielson concluded the season with an eighty-sixth place at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal.

2012

On February 14, 2018, Brittany survived a school shooting that devastated the small town of Parkland, Florida. Brittany knew that she needed help healing, which brought her to therapy with a psychologist. When recalling the traumatic moments of that day, her therapist asked her how she felt while with her students in that moment. Brittany looked at her therapist and said “unbreakable,” without thinking twice. Since then, she has found power through the word unbreakable, and uses this word as a mantra to help in her own healing.

Brittany has since vowed to help others who feel broken, hurt, or lost find what makes them unbreakable. Brittany is now running the Unbreakable Organization full time in hopes of giving back to schools, communities, and individuals. Brittany is also an advisor for a Dance Marathon program that she started at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, as well as a speaker, writer, and YouTuber. She loves eating copious amounts of guacamole, watching New Girl, taking long walks around Target, and connecting with others.

Originally from Fairview, New Jersey, for the first 48 years she was better known as comedian Rick Scotti. She toured the country, appearing at venues all over the United States and Canada, both as a headliner in comedy clubs and as an opening act for artists such as Lou Rawls, Chicago, and Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Julia has appeared on numerous television and radio shows as well as commercials.

In 2000, Julia left comedy to begin her life altering transition, and also to begin her new career as a teacher, where she remained for seven years. She was self-employed for a time, but in 2011, after a ten year layoff from comedy, Julia returned to the stage. Her new brand of comedy is fierce, honest, and fearless. She has been described as a “force of nature”, “a cross between Sam Kinison and Mrs. Doubtfire”, and like a “chainsaw flying through the room”.

Julia was a quarter-finalist on season 11 America’s Got Talent in 2016. She was a judge’s favorite with Simon Cowell saying “you genuinely made me laugh”, and Howie Mandel quoted as saying “you have so much to offer, you are a joy."

In 2012, Julia had been named one of the Top Five Transgender Comedians in the country by Advocate Magazine. Since then, she has gone on to become the first transgendered woman and finalist in the New York Based Ladies of Laughter Competition. She has performed at the Boston Comedy Festival, and in 2014 was one of the winners of the Laughlin Laugh Festival in Nevada. 

Today, you can find Julia performing at comedy clubs and theaters around the country. When she isn’t making people laugh, Julia often speaks at teacher in-services on the subject of bullying and transgendered youth issues.

Real estate is one of the best careers for women who want to create their own destiny. It’s one of those careers where you can be your own boss, set your own hours and see the rewards of all your work. From the outside looking in, real estate agents have it easy. Make no mistake though; it’s a lot of work. Mari could tell you all about that. From staying up late at the dining room table to find new clients, or researching all the data on a listing to know its true worth — Mari has never backed down from a challenge.

Mari is a successful realtor who has grown her business exponentially through face to face networking and social media. But that didn’t all start out of nowhere.. Mari’s mother has always been the go getter and the bread winner in her family, the one who taught Mari and her sister to be self sufficient to not rely on another person when it comes to goals and finances.

 What was it about real estate that drew you to it?

I have always had a bit of an issue with authority since I was a kid, so I liked the idea of being my own boss. I am the type of person to get things done without frills, meaning I don’t need to put exclamation points and emojis on every email, and I don’t think I should have to. When I was in medical sales, I was constantly called out for not being polite enough over email. In my opinion, I was straight to the point and was trying to get the job done in an efficient manner. To be honest, had I been a man, I don’t think I would’ve gotten flagged for that. 

I like that real estate connects you to people on a constant basis. I love meeting new people and being friends with everyone. That is also a huge factor in being successful in this business. You have to be open and welcoming to people from all across your network. 

What 5 steps would you advise and give our ladies who starting their own business(or as a realtor)? 

Step 1: Always connect with your network via social media, text, call, etc. 

Step 2: Go above and beyond. I do this by going door to door for every listing, to show people that I am hard working and that I care about my business. 

Step 3: Be nice and humble. I can’t count how many people I meet that are very condescending and rude in this business, and there is truly no reason for it. We can all build each other up and help each other succeed with kindness, and not everything needs to be a cutthroat competition.

Step 4: Get out of your own head. So much of being an entrepreneur is a head game. If you constantly feed into the doubt that you’re not going to make it, you won’t make it. 

Step 5: Make sure you enjoy what you’re doing. If you are going to sacrifice basically all of your time and the security that comes with a 9-5, and you are still miserable with your job, you may want to go another route. 

How do you distinguish yourself as a realtor? 

I distinguish myself as someone who is always working as hard as I possibly can for my clients. I am also someone who has always recognized the importance of emotional intelligence and the importance of being persistent, but not pushy. I present myself as a professional, but I do like to make the process fun for my clients. While there are a ton of realtors who have attitudes about just about everything, I have always had an easy time remaining positive in difficult situations. 

As a woman in business, it is not always easy to stand up to the men who are trying to project their power over you. I am a strong believer in “fake it till you make it”, so when I was intimidated in the beginning, I just acted like the most confident person in the room. Now, over time and some success, I have become a very confident person who is sure of herself and her abilities.

“Fire Department Chronicles, myself and Fire Department Coffee has donated just over $10,000 to local fire departments, firefighters with cancer. We gave a scholarship, HCI, to a kid in Riviera Beach. We sent him to EMT school for free,” Patton said. “I’ve always said that in any business, or in anyone’s life, the foundation of your life should be built on helping others.”

His latest charitable opportunity is not an easy task.

Patton is preparing to climb 110 flights of stairs for the San Antonio 9/11 Memorial Climb.

“It’s in memory of the 343 firefighters that passed away on 9/11,” he said at Tiara Condominiums on Singer Island, where he trains. “It’s our way of showing tribute to them.”

Participants are encouraged to wear their firefighter gear as they climb 110 flights of stairs to pay tribute to the hundreds of emergency responders who were killed in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

But Patton decided to take it a step further by adding an additional 10 pounds of gear for every $500 he raises.

“I’ll be climbing a nice 110 pounds of gear,” he said.

That means Patton will be going to the top weighing at about 350 pounds, since the average weight of a firefighter in gear is 255 pounds.

All the money he will raise for this event will go towards the Tommy Cullen Foundation, an organization that support families of firefighters battling cancer.

“It’s humbling to even have the opportunity to do this,” Patton said.

Tim began his illustrious career in the beauty industry when he first began modeling at the age of 19.  After numerous photo shoots and magazine layouts, Tim discovered that his true calling was behind the camera designing his own individual style and not in front of it featuring someone else’s designs.

Tim’s words of wisdom have graced the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Elle, Glamour, More, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, The Huffington Post, among others. Tim has been featured as one of the “25 Beauty Stars” in W magazine and won a Genius Award in Elle Magazine as a Genius Makeup Artist. He was also awarded the title of “Beauty Tsar” at Hollywood Magazine’s Hollywood Style Awards. He has worked backstage in New York, Milan, Rome, Paris, Hong Kong and Beijing as well as at several award shows including the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes. Tim has traveled internationally hosting special events, training and promoting the beauty line. Powell played in Major League Lacrosse, the semi-professional field lacrosse league, from its first year in 2001 through 2016, although he played in only 8 games between 2009 and 2013. Yet Powell ranks sixth in goals (243), second in assists (237), and third in points (484) on the MLL career totals list as of 2017.  Powell also tops the all-time MLL playoff point chart with 40. In 2005 and 2014, he won the MLL Offensive Player of the Year award. Powell earned the MVP award in 2014 at age 38.

After retiring from professional lacrosse, Powell shifted focus to other business and philanthropic endeavors. Powell started the World Lacrosse Foundation, a non-profit organization for the advancement of lacrosse in 2015. He is a founder of Speed Lacrosse, a modified version of the sport.

His two younger brothers, Ryan and Mikey, were also lacrosse stars at Syracuse, where they all wore jersey number 22.

The Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation (CPWLF) was founded in 2014 by legendary, 4-Time All-American, Hall of Fame lacrosse player Casey Powell and Heather Chase O’Neill. Its mission is to share, support and inspire: to share the love of the game of lacrosse; to support sick and severely injured lacrosse players, many of whom are children with cancer; and to inspire others to become ambassadors. We create a network of support around our families who are undergoing difficult circumstances and stay with the families throughout their journeys.

Throughout my playing career in professional lacrosse, I had a lot of great relationships with people, and lacrosse is such a tight-knit community that people would come to me and say, “Hey, we have somebody in our program who has cancer. Could you come and do an appearance, or send him a video, or send an autographed helmet for a fundraiser to raise money for his family?” It happened more and more often, and in 2014, we were at the World Championships in Denver, and we said, “Let’s do something. Let’s figure out a way to make a difference.” We started the Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation that day. Our motto was to share, support and inspire. We share the game. We try to inspire more people to be ambassadors to the game, and we support lacrosse families in need. Throughout the past 4 years, we’ve really brought our focus to supporting lacrosse families in need.

One of the first players we supported was Noah Hays, a 17-year-old goalie from Charlotte, NC. One of his family friends contacted our foundation, and we immediately went into action. We went up to Charlotte with a group of professional lacrosse players, and we put on what we call a

The Childhood Cancer Project – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am proud to advocate as a board member of the childhood cancer project for better research and outcomes for children and families battling cancer.

Less than 4% of cancer research dollars are earmarked for childhood cancer, and many children are using the same protocols that were used 40 years ago to fight their cancer. We can and must do better for our children.

I am so very proud to run the keys 100 again this year for the childhood cancer project. We plan to raise $200,000 at this year’s race, and every penny will go to groundbreaking cancer research. We are the key to the cure, and we must act now.

Every year, there are over 250,000 new cases of cancer that affect children under the age of 20 worldwide, that's over 700 kids diagnosed with cancer every single day. Despite this, childhood cancer research is severely underfunded. 

Unfortunately, we can't count on federal funding to help kids with cancer. Not only has there been an alarming decrease in budgets, but less than 4% of the NCI's federal funding goes towards research for all childhood cancers, combined.

Survival rates can vary depending on the type of cancer.

About 420,000 childhood cancer survivors live in the U.S., with many more around the world.

What causes pediatric cancer?

The causes of childhood cancer are not understood completely. Although adult cancers are usually linked to lifestyle or environmental factors, childhood cancers are different in several ways. Childhood cancers are less likely to be caused by the patient’s environment or lifestyle, even though environmental factors can play a role. The causes are often related to genetic changes. Most often, these genetic changes (called mutations) are thought to occur by chance. In a few cases children are born with genetic changes that increase their risk of getting cancer. Understanding what genetic changes caused a cancer can help doctors diagnose it more effectively. 

Treating cancer in children:

Treatment depends on the type of cancer. Treatments often include surgery, chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Sometimes a patient receives more than one of these treatments.The length of time needed for treatment differs depending on the type of cancer. In general, treatments take several months or even years. Researchers and doctors are working on new therapies for children with cancer. Some of these treatments, called precision medicine, target specific genetic changes in the cancer.

After treatment, becoming a long-term survivor:

Once cancer treatment is complete, patients continue to receive follow-up care. This care lasts for many, many years. What Is Huntington’s Disease?

Huntington’s disease (HD) is a fatal genetic disorder that causes the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. It deteriorates a person’s physical and mental abilities usually during their prime working years and has no cure. HD is known as the quintessential family disease because every child of a parent with HD has a 50/50 chance of inheriting the faulty gene. Today, there are approximately 30,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at-risk of inheriting the disease.

The symptoms of HD are described as having ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s – simultaneously.

Symptoms usually appear between the ages of 30 to 50, and worsen over a 10 to 25-year period. Ultimately, the weakened individual succumbs to pneumonia, heart failure or other complications. Everyone has the gene that causes HD, but only those that inherit the expansion of the gene will develop HD and perhaps pass it on to each of their children. Every person who inherits the expanded HD gene will eventually develop the disease. Over time, HD affects the individual’s ability to reason, walk and speak.

Symptoms Include:

• Personality changes, mood swings & depression
• Forgetfulness & impaired judgment
• Unsteady gait & involuntary movements (chorea)
• Slurred speech, difficulty in swallowing & significant weight loss

The Huntingtin Gene

Huntington’s disease is a hereditary neurodegenerative disorder caused by an expansion of a repeating CAG triplet series in the huntingtin gene on chromosome 4, which results in a protein with an abnormally long polyglutamine sequence. HD is one of a larger family of polyglutamine repeat disorders, all of which areneurodegenerative diseases. It is inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion, so that each child of an affected parent has a 50% chance of developing the disease. There is currently no cure or treatment which can halt, slow or reverse the progression of the disease.

The HD gene was identified in 1993. It contains a repeating sequence of three base-pairs, called a “triplet repeat” or “trinucleotide repeat.” An excess number of CAG repeats in the gene results in a protein containing an excess number of glutamine units.

The normal function of huntingtin is not known, but the expanded polyglutamine sequence in the huntingtin protein is in some way toxic to brain cells. Just as in other polyglutamine expansion disorders, certain neurons appear to be more vulnerable to damage in HD. Atrophy is most marked in the corpus striatum of the basal ganglia, including the caudate and putamen. In later phases of the disease, other regions of the brain are also affected.

Huntington’s Disease manifests as a triad of motor, cognitive, and psychiatric symptoms which begin insidiously and progress over many years, until the death of the individual. Born and raised in South Florida Christine Curran has always been a rising entertainer. She started as a musician and dancer in high school to then become a full time model and actress. Looking for more ways to bring in new viewers for VIP TV and create more revenue, Christine created the VIP TV model search which was a huge success. With 50 models competing for 12 Miss VIP TV titles, tons of sponsors, celebrity judges and over 450 attendees, the show was a hit. She took the 12 winners to Bimini for the first ever VIP TV calendar shoot.

Christine states that she has accomplished so much with these words to live by, “All I want is everything being realistic is the most commonly traveled path to mediocracy.”

Steve doesn't behave, he tells the truth.

After graduating with a degree in accounting Steve turned down a job with Price Waterhouse to follow his dream and become a comedian. By day he taught accounting, business law , math and psychology at a vocational business school. He told jokes and made accounting fun. His misbehaving got him promoted to Dean.

By night he went to open mics and learned to make people laugh.

One day he was picking up his dry cleaning and teasing the woman behind the counter, she smiled and said "behave" and Steve found his comedy voice.

Steve takes the stage announcing proudly "I'm not here to behave" and proceeds to speak honestly about sex, ethnicity, love, and the lack of respect for women,gays, minorities and even men. That's right, men get disrespected too!

A strong writer Steve has written monologue jokes for the Late Show With David Letterman and is the head writer for a new dvd coming out called Extreme Comedy.

Steve is a recognized film director. He wrote and directed Academy Award Consideree and Long Island Film Festival Winner "Get the Script to Woody Allen". Steve is currently directing "Driving Me Crazy" starring academy award winner Mickey Rooney, and Renee Taylor , Josepy Bologna, and Dick Cavett.

Steve is one of the top comedy and acting coaches in America. He has coached Lisa Lampanelli, Lisa Landry, Karith Foster, John Diresta and Tommy Savitt.

Recently Steve performed his totally clean comedy act at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City and the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas. He got a standing ovation at the Funnybone in West Virginia performing his Double R rated act .

Steve also performs a one man show in theaters called "Nobody Told Me". Time Out NY reviewed Steve's show and called it "genuinely funny."
