Welcome to "Tell It by Tuesday!" We're thrilled to have you back for another episode of our "His and Hers Perspective" series. Today, we have a special guest, Montéle Graves, who will be sharing his perspective on code switching in the workplace, speaking for "all men."

This week, we dive deep into the fascinating topic of code switching. Is it behavioral, linguistic, or something more complex? Join us as we explore how code switching serves or doesn't serve us in various aspects of life. We ponder whether the expectations for code switching are different for men and women, exploring the idea that men may face a more significant burden to adapt to various environments. The conversation takes an interesting turn as we discuss the concept of authenticity in the workplace.

Can we ever truly know someone's authentic self in a professional setting? Are we imposing these behaviors on ourselves, or are they imposed on us by societal expectations? We delve into the complexity of code switching, whether it's altering the way you speak or adjusting your behavior to fit different environments.

If you’re an introvert, you might dread networking events. You’re not alone – introverts make up a large portion of the population. And while it may be easier for extroverts to network, that doesn’t mean that introverts can’t network effectively. Networking is critical to success in any field, and it can be especially daunting for introverts and extroverts alike. The good news is that there are ways to network effectively no matter your personality type.

For introverts, the best way to network is typically through email or other written communication. You can also deepen existing connections by attending networking events and listening more than you speak. It’s important to be visible, but don’t force yourself to be the center of attention. Extroverts, on the other hand, should never stop networking. You can make connections easily and quickly, so take advantage of that by being visible and outgoing. The key is to be intentional about your networking and make sure you follow up with people after meeting them.

Check out our next episode in the business of you series and learn tips for introverts and extroverts to network. <itunes:summary>
