Chryssy and Heather are recording in a new space! Details coming soon about our excitement to hang with the folks at Real Talk 93.3 in Tallahassee, the only locally owned radio station in our area. There are other changes coming to the show as well . . . so keep listening for news about our upcoming fun.

Today we ponder the relationship challenges that might be occurring as people are asked to stay home. We wonder how marriages are doing, if people like who they are quarantined with, and how the divorced folk are doing with sharing their kids in this current climate.

We wonder a bit about dating when you have to stay home – and it feels a little like “Love is Blind” is becoming ultra-reality. Chryssy really thinks there is a lot of sexting happening, and she wants to know why people won’t entertain her with details.

Chryssy had a major life event take place a couple weeks ago. She sold her business, a big part of her life for the last 15 years and, really, her first baby!

A $1000 loan that took 10 months to pay back somehow turned into a multi-million dollar business. Today’s episode, we take a little glance into how.

Chryssy pontificates on the people who contributed to this process, the lucky breaks along the way, and the set of skills that helped propel such a big thing.

Was she just in the right place at the right time? Was she a great decision maker for 15 years? Was she just connected with the people who could best help? It’s a combination, we thinks.

We hope that our listeners take a minute to reflect on the little bits along the way that lead to the good things in life.

Chryssy had her first foster baby last week, and it prompts a discussion about foster care, the pros and cons of leaving children with their biological families, race, socio-economic status, and starfish. You never know what you’re in for here.

There’s a brief chat about things to say and not to say to foster parents, and the emotional tax and toll on biological parents, foster parents, and children in care.

We muse about the new Netflix special “The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez” and remind one another that we all are responsible for really examining the many issues that lead to such a rough case. Let’s all remember that society’s problems are our problems, and passing the buck to someone else just doesn’t cut it.

After a bee-autiful lesson, we still make time for the grab bag. Today we talk about Mommy Wine Culture and how to broaden our connections. We also take a spin on a quick ride about the importance of connectors, and how to break down those territorial walls and become one.

In today’s “Show About Everything,” (which is a walk on the weird sci-fi wild side that isn’t a part of her normal schema at all), Chryssy provides her own version of evolutionary theory based on nothing more than what she dreams up when she observes the world.

We have a really robust discussion about FEAR this episode, and all the ways it gets in our way and keeps us from following our hearts.

All that mush aside, we get down with the doomsday clock and some “live forever” theorizing. Prepare for your mind to be stretched and twisted and blown. Or maybe just prepare to laugh at the nonsensical nature of a few of the things that made the rounds in Chryssy’s brain this week.

There’s a couple reminders to take care of yourself and a gentle nudge (mostly for Chryssy) that you can’t just SAY you engage in healthy practices, you actually have to engage in those things.

We suggest you read and watch some kid stuff – The Magic School Bus is on Netflix these days and Amazon will yield you a copy of “If You Give a Mouse A Cookie.” They’ve also got some great anthologies of Charles Schultz’s Class Peanuts comics. While you putting anthologies in your shopping cart, add something by Mary Oliver. Since it’s a shopping spree, pick up Paolo Coelho’s “The Pilgrimage,” and if you want some extra fantasy (Wait?, Or is he serious?), grab “The Alchemist,” as well. May as well round out this binge with some old episodes of Seinfeld, too.

Yeah, we fooled you into thinking this episode was funny with a title like that. It’s not.

Today Chryssy gives us life lessons from Spain and shares a weird little thing she does that brings her more self-awareness. Glory be to @elizabeth_gilbert_writer, whose book “Eat, Pray, Love” gave Chryssy permission to start asking the world for insight.

Chryssy just wants you to know that it’s totally cool to ask for things, it’s not (too) kooky to talk to the unknown, and, basically, don’t be afraid to follow your own brand.

Also, she tricked Heather into being the de facto host so she could just tell a long story and try to inspire you to follow your own siren like Elsa does in Frozen 2.
