It’s an emergency pod (well kinda) as the boys discuss recent Merthyr news as well as our Deadline Day activity which saw us bring in some quality additions in attack but were dealt the blow of the shock departure of midfield dynamo, Cole Jarvis. Along with Wolvesy and Bennett, JP gives his views on the Martyrs’ season and expectations for the rest of the season and this one might bring a tear to the eye to some.

We discuss the departure of club legend and cult hero Ricardo Rees as well as Cardiff loanee Will Spiers who’s since been sent to Eastleigh and Morgan Lewis who’s joined Gloucester until the end of the season.

The boys discuss their unsung heroes and favourite moments of the season so far as well as the away trips they’re looking forward to between now and the end of the season.

And of course, we talk about last Saturday’s game against former Premier League manager Phil Brown.. and his pink socks.

THE CATCHING UP POD

After about a month off, the pod returns as we welcome back Donovan who’s returned from the states after spending half of October there.

Our last pod was all about Colin the Monk and his parting gift was a 0-5 defeat to Radcliffe so that’s where we start (getting the negatives out of the way first).

In this episode, we also discuss Chester (a) via Wrexham, that mental Spennymoor (a) game, the Kidderminster (h) defeat and of course, that superb result at Chorley on the weekend. We also talk transfer news and a potential money-spinner ahead of the festive period!

After a couple of weeks off the pod makes its return and for this episode Louis and Donovan are joined by Merthyr Town secretary, Jack Hodgkins to discuss the Martyrs’ opening 7 games of the National League North.

For this episode we discuss cult-heroes Tom (who came off the bench to score a hat-trick against Macclesfield last week) and Ric who made it into the Merthyr 100 club after scoring twice on Saturday - his 100th and 101st for the Town.

We also discuss the new Weekend Offender terrace and what else to expect from the terracewear legends as well as saying a fond farewell to the one and only Frazer Thomas who departed recently and his since joined Cambrian United in the Cymru Leagues.

The pod is back after a few weeks off following the announcement that Merthyr Town FC will be playing in the National League NORTH division next season.
