We have a delightful interview for you here with the indescribably delicious Bicuious. For those of you who are not in the know but who are curious, Bicurious are Gavin Purcell and Taran Plouzané; a confused, loud, experimental two-piece from Dublin, Ireland and Brest, France. Over the last four years, they’ve built a loyal fanbase through extensive touring and have won over crowds both at home and abroad, establishing them as a recognisable force on the European instrumental rock scene.

They released they teeth-kicking debut album "(re)constructed" in July 2021 to rave reviews and will be bringing their live show to a stage near you very soon as the world begins to open up again.

Jessica is a trained oboist and contemporary vocalist who now practises music therapy from The Royal Irish Academy Of Music, where she completed her BA in Music Performance. Since completing her Masters in Music Therapy in the University of Limerick, Jessica has become involved in many programmes around Dublin and Ireland and treats a range of people with different difficulties. On the 8th of December 1980 in New York City, former Beatle John Lennon was shot dead by Mark David Chapman outside of his residence, The Dakota.

We mark the 40th year since Lennon's passing by revisiting his first solo album after the breakup of The Beatles, "Plastic Ono Band", which was released 50 years ago on the 11th December 1970.

We also discuss Spotify algorithms, Pavement and why "Spotify Wrapped" is so fascinating. We also discuss why the 8th of December is such an important date to Irish farmers and "culchies".

In this very, very special episode we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Foo Fighters debut album. We had the absolute honour and privilege to have a full length interview with Barrett Jones, one of Seattle's greatest music producers and founder of Laundry Room Studios.

His 30 plus year career in the world of music production brought us grunge and 1990s favourites from Melvins, Presidents of the United States, Pussy Galore, Everclear and many more.

Jones produced, engineered and mixed 3 of our favourite Nirvana tracks "Oh The Guilt", "Curmudgeon" and The Wipers cover "Return Of The Rat" in 1992. As a mixing engineer he has worked with Seattle legends Pearl Jam and Brad also.

We mainly speak with Barrett about (in our opinion) his magnum opus, Foo Fighters 1995 self-titled debut album. We discuss his long history and friendship with Dave Grohl, how the album came to be and Barrett shares with us his memories of making the record and some of his studio techniques for producing that unmistakably unique sound that we hear on the final product.
