Peter started exploring dyslexia when he was diagnosed at age 23. He has taught himself to read and write and now feels he has the knowledge to help dyslexic sufferers and school teachers. His educational handbook describes procedures for creating neural pathways that could enable sufferers to learn to read and write.

Peter experienced frustration, discrimination, lack of confidence, and poor self-esteem. He overcame all the trials. With sixty years of personal experience, Peter now understands what happened to him and continues to progress.

In his early childhood, he had many negative experiences that caused extreme stress. 

He started to realise that he was not stupid and that he might even be intelligent.

Through determination, he looked for clues that linked every part of his life and formed a complete picture of his dyslexic experience. He used this to compile evidence of his experience with dyslexia and its many traits. However, with the techniques that helped him, he helped others develop neural pathways.

At fifty-five, after purchasing a computer, he wrote a story, fulfilling a lifelong wish. After writing it he found he could read novels, understand the story, its twists and turns, and remember the plot. To date, he has written six unpublished fantasy novels.

At sixty-seven, He was diagnosed as autistic and needed to reassess his dyslexic journey in the light of this diagnosis.

In his seventies, Peter understood his journey had come full circle. He had beneficial knowledge to share with teachers, students, and parents. He used the strategies he developed for himself to help others.

Planted in his brain at an early age was the inspiration to become a medical doctor. Secondary schooling at the Grenada Boys Secondary School led to a West Indies Federation scholarship to study medicine at the University College of the West Indies in Jamaica.

In his desire to travel, extended medical training took him to the Bahamas, New York, Hawaii, and Ottawa. He then became his country’s first pathologist, followed by employment in Suriname, Nassau (Bahamas), with PAHO/WHO, Freeport (Bahamas)—his home base---, and the BVI.

A name, originally intentionally derogatory, this Kayak has proudly plied his craft to many lands.

She was born in New York City and spent her early years living in Red Spring Colony, Glen Cove, New York. At that time, her father was a navy pilot and her

mother a model. The family, along with her younger brother, aunt, uncle, and their three children, lived in her grandfather’s house, Penterra. Her grandmother also lived there, but she died before Miss Gillmor was nine months old. Family life on the estate included a cook, two maids, a gardener, a chauffeur, a butler, a laundress, and a nanny—exactly as her father and his brothers had been raised. Adult social life in the house included tennis matches on the clay tennis court, swimming and sunbathing on the private beach, cruises on the family yacht, chauffeured trips to the city and elegant parties. The house was ruled by English customs with dinner at eight in the dining room, served on fine china with monogrammed linens, crystal, silver, and fresh flowers. It was always preceded by cocktails, with all the women in attendance appearing in long evening attire. These dining rituals did not apply to the children, however. They ate in the kitchen and were hurried off to bed, after a good night kiss, by the nanny at six o’clock.

Eventually, her family’s Gatsby days were transformed into a normal middle-class life when they moved to a small house in nearby Cold Spring Harbor. The author never thought her early years were any different from the other children she encountered in her new neighborhood or during her years of education at public schools.

Sham Moteelall was born and grew up on a family farm in Colonial

he emigrated alone to the USA to attend college.

He is now an agronomist, soil scientist and businessman. He spent decades

working for major global corporation in various capacities. Currently he lives

with his wife on their Minnesota farm, from where he manages his consulting

business, LIFE Consulting LLC. His focus and passion are on promoting an

all-inclusive approach to sustainability and on global environmental concerns.

Apart from writing, business, teaching and farming, Sham is a motivational

speaker. His messages not only focus on business and environmental issues, they

include helping people at various levels to become the best they can be and

to strive towards excellence for themselves, their families, their communities,

This book continues the series with a focus on the Eastern Orthodox Churches, following their split in A.D.1054 from Roman Catholicism, which set a floor for ongoing heresies, man-made doctrines, and pronouncements, with influential church leaders pioneering these atrocities as equal bearers of authority in the same manner as the Holy Scriptures.

Exploring the early councils, attended by numerous Catholic/Orthodox bishops, which convened between A.D. 325 and 787, the author seeks to explain not only the reason for the split but what set the tone or ‘floor’ leading to this rebellion against God’s Divine Authority. The decisions/proclamations of the first seven councils hailed and elevated by these bishops as “Holy”, “Divine”, and “Authoritative”, were uncovered instead to be nothing more than man-made, hypocritical, and on occasion, even deceitful - plagiarizing God’s Word as if It were their own words of wisdom! Fritz is an enthusiastic supporter of the Olympic ideal and sees the promotion of sports as the way forward to increase cooperation between nations in the form of healthy competition so as to prevent future military confrontations. Also an adventurer at heart, and sponsor of many of the first exploratory voyages around the globe, he sees his beliefs and ideals threatened and finally shattered as the Nazis return to values of order, discipline, and military expansionism.

As a Prussian officer who fought in the great war, he regards himself as a German, a Berliner and a Jew, in that order. Despite being forced into bankruptcy and witnessing the increasing repression of the Jewish people, he holds on to his belief that it is only a temporary phase and that the army will restore order in time.

As the political situation deteriorates, the tension between Fritz and his eldest son, an ardent pacifist, increases and threatens the family unity. Fritz has to decide whether to stay or leave the Germany that he loves.

Christopher Charlton was born in London in 1955. The second child of a German Jewish mother and Polish Catholic father, he was influenced by their liberal post-war attitudes from an early age. He was brought up in Bohemian Hampstead where the house was always full of ex-refugees, writers, painters, singers, and actors.

He moved to Frankfurt, Germany, in 1987 and made his home there. Influenced by his family background, he became interested in German history and culture, especially the causes of the two world wars, and was able to witness with great satisfaction the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the integration of modern Germany into the European Union.

After a career of over 40 years in financial services, he walked away on his 60th birthday. Three of his uncles wrote books about their lives and he decided that it was time to tell the story of their father and the history of the family. ADAM is Christopher’s first book.

Sifting and sorting all the family memorabilia was difficult, although we tried to share out things relatively equally, in accordance with a pattern established by our parents. One of the key treasures that Anne and I found was a locked safe. Jack, Anne’s husband, had to prise it open. To our immense surprise, not to say shock, it contained five old German passports, four of which bore the Nazi insignia, whereas my father’s passport was issued in 1935, before Nazism had taken full hold. The passports belonged to my father, Curt; his parents, Adolf David and Clementine David (née Rothschild); Bertha David, his paternal grandmother; and Klara (Koch), Curt’s aunt and Adolf ’s younger sister.

These five David family passports set us all off on a journey of discovery about who they all were and how they had lived in Germany and escaped to the UK. It was only just before lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic in February 2020 that we finally discovered some key pieces of the jigsaw about what had happened during the war to these five people, plus my father’s elder brother Ernst. By then I had become obsessed with not only family history but also policies regarding internment, or imprisonment without trial of ‘enemy aliens’. I attended many seminars in the previous five years and developed a lengthy list of reading material. The best place for information was the National Archives (TNA) at Kew, I was told. Indeed, it was. But it was both upsetting and disappointing to find some official materials in the TNA. There were several volumes of crusty old documents with byzantine and incomprehensible filing systems.

The six Davids all were in these official records with several Home Office (HO) and police numbers because they had arrived in England in the 1930s. I learnt some details about my father from these records: he was a ‘

machine tool designer, employed by Kendall & Gent, Victoria Works (1920) Ltd., Gorton, Manchester’. There was also information about the three men as ‘enemy aliens’ and when they were interned and released, but nothing about where they were interned. The reason given was the government’s ‘circular 21.6.40’. There was also basic information about the three women, who were called ‘internees at liberty’. But how free and safe were they? This information was updated after the war and for several years to about 1950,

including when they died. How much nearer to understanding was I with this official information?

Shortly after graduating from high school, David Cavagnaro began a correspondence with his 1957 high school freshman English teacher, Katherine Martin. Thus began a 20-year sojourn of mutual mirroring of life lessons, personal philosophies, and creative experience that was influenced by everything from the worldly—the tumultuous 1960s, the tragedy of the Vietnam War, David’s conscientious objector appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, crises in education, the civil rights movement, the drug years, and the moon landing—to the very personal. David was in and out of marriages (which Kay already had been). They were both writing books. Tom Williams, PH.D. has been in the ministry for 40 years.He was a youth director for 5 years and pastored PrairieView Baptist Church in Illinois for over 5 years. He was the first pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio. He also taught at Massillon Baptist College for 8 years. Tom volunteered for the draft at 17 years old in 1967 and after graduating from high school, he entered boot camp at the ripe old age of 17. He was an infantry man who carried the radio and walked point. In February, Tom sustained a gunshot wound in the mouth which would change the course of his life. Patti Pavolko is a wife, mother, grandmother and retired Special Education teacher. She has been married to Dennis, her hero and best friend for 37 years. They have two children Paul and Leslie and three wonderful grandchildren Wesson, Kinley and Haylen.

She attended Edinboro State College from 1978-1982 where she pursued a double major. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. The 1960s did not offer the instant communication that we take for granted today. The traveler had to accept that news from home waited in the mail box at the next embassy. Letters written in return often carried with them the wonderful sights, sounds and experiences that contributed to the travelers' enjoyment of the unfamiliar world through which they were traveling. The world at this time was peaceful and presented few problems for the determined traveler who wanted to explore Europe and Asia.

His growing love of airplanes came to fruition during World War II when, at the tender age of ten, he discovered the joy of building model airplanes – precisely to the kits’ specifications. They didn’t fly but sure looked great and actually resembled the pictures on the boxes in which they came. His dream of flying became a reality soon after his graduation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and commissioning as Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force.

His exceptional flying ability was realized early when he graduated with distinction as first in his Undergraduate Pilot Training class of 69 graduates. Following assignments as jet flight instructor, F-100 fighter pilot, and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at the University of Georgia, he entered combat.

He is now retired and lives with his wife, Evelyn, by the Potomac River just south of Washington, D.C.

These are reflections of his journey from small-town boy to the “tip of the spear” of the greatest Air Force in the world and other life opportunities he pursued.

Charles Grotsky grew up in New Jersey in the 1950’s. He learned to read and write at an early age. His grandparents took him to The American Museum of Natural History and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City influencing his interest in science, history, and art.

A graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, he lived in Bellingham, Washington from 1977 to 1994. In 1982, he backpacked through Asia for six months and imported and wholesaled scarves from India between 1984 and 1989. He has visited Europe and Mexico.

From 1995 to 2001 he directed a speaker’s bureau in California and

has been a sales representative for many companies. Charles lives on the island of Kauai where he is a writer and a photographer.

He was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul Minnesota to a loving family that would later include 5 siblings. In his early teens, his father moved the family to Chicago, ill after being transferred there by his employer. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force and since it was during peace time, earned several degrees while attending College courtesy of the military. After College he was fortunate to get a career job in the Information Technology (IT) industry of which he went to school for. He later in his career met a friend that he had several adventures with and inspired stories that he wrote and will continue to write. He and his friend were the key inspiration for the story in these pages.

Mr. Deiman (pronounced Diamond without the ending D) is currently living in the Phoenix east valley of The great state of Arizona with his beautiful companion Abigail (Abby) who is his Pure White, Siberian Husky with those piercing blue eye. His immediate family had stayed in the Chicago area and still reside there to this day. His parents have since passed away. His four sisters and their families live mostly in the south side of Chicago.

from Baker City, Oregon when I began to smell gasoline. As soon as I smelled the gas, I knew I was in trouble. I was flying a Boeing 80 bi-wing. The frame of the plane was wood, and the fuselage and wings were covered with heavy fabric coated with shellac, a potential bonfire. As the choking fumes registered, I changed the heading of my plane toward Baker City, which was the closest airfield. I knew if I throttled back the motors a backfire would ignite the gas.

While I was still in control of the plane, I started a steep power dive, but the fumes were blown back in my face, causing me to nearly pass out. I quickly dropped to 500 feet and started looking for a field to set down in. When I saw landing lights in the distance, I reduced my speed to land, and my plane burst into flames. The fire quickly spread to the cabin. my flying suit was on fire and the flames were climbing up the stick, burning my hand.

I doubted I could make the landing field. As I dropped toward the ground my lower starboard wing burst into flames. I knew the dope covered fabric wouldn’t last more than a few minutes. As the wing disappeared under the flames, my plane began spiraling toward the ground. I was still 100 feet in the air, I braced myself. It was a hard landing, but I didn’t lose consciousness. I landed on one wing, bounced into the air and hit right side up.

I was born in Carbondale Illinois to George and Doloros Peters. I was raised in the Suburbs of Chicago and attended Homewood Flossmoor Highschool where I was involved in Gymnastics (Horizontal Bar, Vaulting and floor exercise). Ripley and I are adjoined at the hip. We are never apart. She has been with us for three years now. We got her healthy and with her training, she is now a Licensed Service Dog. We also started a charity in her name, Lt. Ripley Kids. We go around our county and neighboring counties and deliver stuffed toy animals with her picture on them. These are to be put in police cars, fire trucks and first responders. This way, they can be handed out to kids who are in distress or hurt.

On our first year, we delivered over 800 stuffed toy animals, donated over 2000 dollars to the heart house homeless shelter for baby blankets, healthy snacks, socks, and Christmas toys for the kids. Ripley brings out the best in people. Veterans and kids are her favorite people, and yes, we support all our veterans. So how can this small blue- eyed dog be so forgiving and loving when humans are just plain horrible to one another? Ripley always brings the best out of people. We can all learn from her and cherish what she has to offer to mankind. She is our baby, best friend and she will never be cold or left behind again.

I was born and raised in a logging camp high in California Sierras. It was a time and place that is now long gone. We grew up eating our food off on wood cook stoves. We slept under ten army blankets and would bath at community bath house. From the time I started walking, my love for animals grew. As early as five years old if I see a dog laying on grandpa’s porch in the warm sunlight, I would curl up next to him and fall asleep. My whole life revolved around animals. As I got older, I advanced to horses. I trained horses for handicap people or first time riders. I was heavily into 4H, and then advance to FFA rodeos. My horses or dogs were never far from me in my life. I cannot count how many animals I rescued. Each and every one so priceless to me. Goats, pigs, fawns, dogs, cats and horses, I would save and keep them healthy. For animals never hurt me nor betray me. Their love and dedication to me is more than any humans can give me. I can live a perfect peaceful life with my animals. If my animals do not accept you when you come in my home, you did not pass the test. They are truly my guardian angels. I can spend a day riding horses with the dogs in tow and never see one person all day. Just the sound of hoofs and my dogs running beside us are enough to make my day. I did graduate from college but it’s not my biggest accomplishment. My animals and husband are my biggest accomplishments and nature breathes peace into my soul.

a transient ischemic attack in the left hemisphere of her brain. She helplessly observed her mind deteriorate to the point where she could not speak, walk, read, identify household objects, or recall her family. Maloney traveled between the worlds of the surreal and the logical. The stroke resulted in aphasia, the loss of communication and other functions of her left hemisphere.

After eighteen months of rehabilitation, she was finally able to communicate with others by using her hand as a metronome. The frustration of having the words and sentences formed in her mind but being unable to share them caused frustration and depression. Her verbal abilities suffered, along with her reading and comprehension skills. Even so, hard work, strong will, and persistence has allowed her to reach out to other teachers to offer new insight into the minds of her beloved special-education and reading-disabled students.

In this, her story, Maloney turns her experience into a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of her students’ difficulties and to share that knowledge with other teachers.

Vusi is broken and is in shambles and this results in him not fulfilling his dream of becoming a pilot. He spends most of his time looking after his mother who is sickly suffering from diabetes.

Both genetic and environmental factors play important roles in one’s life. Genetics remains a fixed entity, whereas environment is a variable. Environmental experiences in life can have a positive or negative influence upon the genetic makeup of a given individual. Decision-making in the preschool environment is predominantly controlled by parents. Eventually, the individual, being influenced by the many past environmental factors, becomes the responsible choice maker as to which path in life he/she wishes to travel. It is my belief that it is providential that one is given these experiences to aid in our decision-making. This concept was supported by five of the physicians who shared their stories (chapter 10). All were greatly influenced by role models whom they encountered in their earlier life. This influence factor is not a single event, but a continuum. This forms the basis of the concept that the making of a physician is not a one-time event but represents a continuum. For some of us, becoming a physician was understood as a calling.

The stories in this book were shared so that others may develop a greater appreciation of their own environmental experiences and consider them as influential factors in the decision-making of their lives. It is also my hope that this book might be of positive help to the young person considering the medical profession as his or her vocation.

Applicants to medical school are frequently asked, “Why do you want to become a physician?” However, few during or at the end of their career are asked, “Why did you become a physician and did it fulfill or exceed your expectations?” This book clearly provided me and others with the opportunity to reflect upon a career choice or to reflect upon a lifetime achievement. It also illustrates the importance of positive environmental factors contributing toward The Making of a Physician.

Suddenly, the cows began to paw at the ground, and the horses began trotting nervously and whinnying. The next thing Sagebrush and the Young Miss knew, a herd of deer came running out of the forest, straight past Sagebrush and the Young Miss.

“Fire!” the big antlered buck screamed as he ran across the lawn where the little mountain cabin sat. “Run for your lives! The woods are on fire!” he screamed.

The Young Miss had heard that animals in the forest have an alert system to communicate with when danger looms. The Young Miss looked wide-eyed at Sagebrush. “Go wake up your parents, Sagebrush. Hurry, we have to act fast!”

Sagebrush turned toward the cabin and began running as fast as she could to let Ginger and Maverick—her parents, the house dogs—know of the imminent danger.

Past life experiences in social/societal research, and a career in Law Enforcement have prepared this author in teaching and guiding instructing others. The morning after Christmas, I woke up and noticed that my husband suddenly looked like skin and bones. I immediately called the doctor, and he scheduled a CAT scan. Chuck had the scan on December 26, and the doctor called me the next day. When I answered the phone, he said he was glad that I had picked up the phone so he could speak to me first, then he’d speak to my husband. The doctor told me he had seen something on Chuck’s pancreas. He said that he would have to do a biopsy. I nearly flipped. I couldn’t believe my ears for I knew the seriousness of what the doctor was saying. After he spoke to me, he then spoke to my husband. Chuck and I both cried—and I literally screamed.

Their efforts bore the discovery of a lifetime: a mammoth deposit speculated to contain over 200 million ounces of easily extractable gold. The company’s stock exploded from 25 cents to $270, giving them a valuation

of over $6 billion. Major mining companies like Barrick, Placer Dome and Freeport McMoran started competing to develop

the largest gold deposit ever discovered.

In early 1997, Suharto and his Indonesian government took control of the deposit, by force, and commissioned Freeport to build

a mega mine. In the ensuing months, due diligence revealed that the deposit was a gigantic hoax! There was no gold in Busang. The principals of Bre-X were accused (but never convicted) of salting (adding gold) the samples before sending them to the labs. Michael de Guzman, a Filipino geologist who served as the project manager, infamously jumped from a helicopter into the abyss

of Borneo’s jungle. Minorca Resources of Toronto were the financial partners of the Haji Saykerani group of companies who owned Busang. Alfred Lenarciak was the chairman of Minorca at the time. In a strange twist of fate, in February of 2012, Alfred had a chance encounter in Rome, Italy with a man named Akiro Guzzo, who shared with him an amazing story on the life and death of Michael de Guzman: is this really a dead man’s story?

Alfred Lenarciak was born in Poland in 1950. He escaped the Communist regime in 1974 and immigrated to Montreal, Canada

in 1975. Degrees in engineering and finance were the platform that allowed him to invest in mining companies all over the world over a span of 30 years. For the last decade, Alfred has been developing the ancestral estate

of his wife in southern Italy. He currently resides in Nassau, Bahamas with his wife Barbara and devotes the time to investing, developing, writing and philanthropy. They have one son, Max living in Toronto. Besides golf, Alfred enjoys travelling, studying history, writing and walking on Old Fort Bay Beach with Mish, the family’s trusty poodle. This non-fiction book takes the reader into the hopes, hardships, and tragedies of four generations of ambitious individuals, connected by lineage and marriage. They emigrated to America from Norway, England and the Isle of Man, seeking freedom and free lands offered by the federal Homestead Act. Settling in Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and Nebraska, they were challenged by economic humiliations, locust plagues, blizzards, prairie fires, accidents, and illness. A source of hope for family members in difficult times was their belief in Seventh-day Adventism, a rapidly growing Christian denomination. They were sustained by their belief in an imminent Second Coming of Christ to earth, during which they would be taken to a safe and everlasting heaven. Author T. Joe Willey based his stories on research from old newspapers, letters, and other publications of the time, using historical methodology, not as a religious apologetic.

T. JOE WILLEY had three separate and distinct careers. The first began with the earning of a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California at Berkeley. He then taught and conducted research on the brain at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, with additional research at the Brain Institute at UCLA. He published 42 peer-reviewed scientific articles along with book chapters, reviews, and abstracts. In 1985 Willey left science and founded the new field of “employee leasing,” later called Professional Employer Organizations. In creating this new field, he published 13 books and 210 magazine articles and conducted many workshops worldwide. In 1999 Willey turned to journalism to exercise his research and writing skills. Studying 2000 books and other sources, he gathered the information and stories to create a book about his family history. He also researched the history of issues important to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, publishing more than 40 essays.

Reunion begins and ends with the 45th reunion of the 1960 class of Princeton, West Virginia, high school. Set in a small town on the southern edge of the state, it deals with usual themes of coming-of-age, as well as the once-in- a-lifetime experience of desegregation and its impact on a group of friends. I must acknowledge the influence of the entire Yamate family of Hiroshima. A special dedication goes to matriarch, Yamate, Midori, a lifetime resident of Hiroshima. She still lives in that city as of the time of this writing. Midori worked in a defense manufacturing plant during World War Two and escaped the devastation of August 6th, 1945, by leaving Hiroshima for the weekend with her sisters to pick fruit in the nearby mountains. She told me of the feeling during the late days of the war, when she saw the sky over Japan filled with American bombers. That feeling she described... not knowing if the bombs would come... or if the planes would just go on to another destination... that made quite an impression on me. She was... courageous.

The characters’ silly behaviors let the reader understand that

Miriam Salinas was born in Mexico City in 1937 and, while raising her children, wrote nine screenplays that were produced for the Mexican film industry. While traveling through Mexico looking for locations, she was inspired to invent stories to keep the children entertained.

Her move to Los Angeles, California, opened a longtime desire to study psychology, and that led to a deeper interest in history. In 2008, she published a book of short stories about

women and a brief tongue-in-cheek study of women and men in history. Returning to her native country in 1985 to live among flowers, traditions, and warm family ties, she travels continuously to see for herself the multitude of cultures that come alive through reading history.

A Spark in the Darkness narrates the difficult times in Higgs-Faretta’s life: the death of her oldest daughter, a divorce, a brain aneurysm, and subsequent paralysis on her left side. Inspired by Christmas and Life

Colleen Lear Hosford grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Patrick Hosford while they attended the University of Oklahoma. Colleen and Pat enjoy their three grown sons, their wives, and nine grandchildren with many living close to them in The Woodlands, Texas. Colleen has taught and helped develop Christian curriculum for children.

The book takes us through more training and preparation for combat. The Buna campaign in New Guinea, and Guadalcanal in the Solomons, were either finished or winding down, and not a pretty picture for any future combat engineer! There were constant battles and campaigns along the northern coast of New Guinea---until the Japanese were totally defeated.

On his nineteenth birthday (6/16/44) he got his orders to fly to Brisbane, Australia to join General MacArthur's headquarters (GHQ). Because he took so many courses in drafting in high school, and working in a defense plant as a draftsman after school each day during his senior year, he was prepared to be a draftsman (map maker) and was assigned to G-3 Plans and Operations as a map maker. He was in this (G-3) from Brisbane to Tokyo (the entire war). This book shares many of the hundreds of happenings that this kid experienced with many GI's, and officers ranging to the five star Commanding General. It was a job of ultra top secrecy, and great responsibilities--- and, very fascinating! Even though there were tremendous demands placed upon the guys because of the kind of work they did, they also had many moments of fun and hilarity with their fellow GI's. They constantly lived by the slogan of "TOP SECRET."

Beyond Nice is about creating excellent working relationships in Churches and other Christian organisations. It looks at why Christian bodies struggle with people issues and people management. The author has taken his experience as a practising Christian in the business world and has sought to understand why Christian organisations often find it more difficult to manage people than businesses do.

He also explores potential solutions to this problem, and central to this are almost 40 interviews conducted with Christian leaders; bishops, pastors, charity leaders, academics and consultants. He also looks at the example Jesus gives us of how to deal with and lead people. Together, these things are combined to offer potential solutions to current Christian leaders, and some food for thought to Christian followers about how best to support their leaders.

This aims to be a helpful handbook, written in the belief that Christians should seek to build the very best organisations they can in order to fulfil their vital Kingdom- building mission and provide a model of best practice to the world.
