Mini-Pop: The Japanese Kit Kat Taste Test Challenge

Did you know there have been more than 300 limited-edition seasonal and regional flavors of Kit Kats produced in Japan since 2000??

We do a live taste test of the Japanese candy and judge and score the results. We invited Elliott to join the Pop Pod after seeing him post on Instagram about his family taste test. We had to get in on the action! We mostly sampled Kit Kats, but we had an odd Pocky and some chocolate covered potato chips to round it out. These are some strange flavor profiles to be sure. We are huge fans of the Sewing School book series and it was our honor to have co-author Amie Petronis Plumley submit a segment from Memphis, TN talking about their new book Sewing School Quilts. She is joined by fellow Team Plumley mates Phoebe and Frank (thats them on the cover!) They preview the book and talk about some of their favorite projects. Radio 321 Presents: Homework & Video Games

Our first cohort of kid podcasters comes to end (but don't worry, cohort 2 has begun!) with a fully kid-produced episode debating the value of homework with an actual teacher, counting down the top video games of 2017 and sharing how much they love Zelda Breath of the Wild. The kids engineered, wrote, announced, did the music and did the art for this episode. The only think Chris Larry did was do an introduction and edit the show together.

Here are the kids who worked so hard on this episode as well as the Superbowl episode and recapping the Winter Olympics as a segment on another one: Harper, Oliver, Nico M, Talia, Helen, James, Maggie, Nico W, Amelia, Owen, Rachel, Ella, Eric, Kees and Fox.
