For this third episode of the Radio Tabbouli podcast, TMR takes you to the 2nd Biennial of Performing Arts in the Mediterranean. Here, we meet two women who are committed to an open Mediterranean in which art, discussion and ideas circulate: Giovanna Tanzarella and Simone Bitton.

On the menu: an interview with Giovanna Tanzarella, researcher and civil society actress, who was invited to speak at a conference on the theme: "Art and Culture in the Mediterranean: Strong Links between Two Shores?" For Giovanna, "art and culture are the blood that circulates in the bodies of countries." In the second part of the episode, we meet filmmaker Simone Bitton, who has been invited to the event for a screening of her 1991 documentary, "Conversation Nord-Sud: a discussion between Serge Daney and Elias Sanbar.” Simone discusses her history as a Moroccan Jew, her commitments, her passion for cinema and the independence of her opinions.

For this first Radio Tabbouli podcast from TMR, we take you behind the scenes of the Arabesques Festival at Montpellier's Halle Tropisme for two evenings of the current alternative scene. We meet Imed, Khalil, Petra and Hany: 4 eclectic artists. What do they have in common? They draw their inspiration from traditional Arab music, which they revisit with electronic sounds.
