At the request of the Scalabrinian Fathers, Dr. Ederer composed "An Italian Immigrant Community and the Scalabrinian Fathers: St. Anthony of Padua Church in Buffalo, New York", a comprehensive history of the first Italian parish founded by Italians (as opposed to older parishes that later became Italian).

A former member of the parish council, Kyle Dean picks up where the book ends by briefly tracing the parish history into the present with St. Anthony's rich connection to promulgating the Traditional Latin Mass and we reflect on striking the balance between truth and safety when documenting living histories that involve corruption, fascism, and mafioso notes, i.e. the greatest stories ever told!
