We must always remember don’t have the option to go back and relive the past. The only option we do have is to keep moving forward and using the present to create the best possible future. To achieve self-realization, people must adapt not only to the outside environment but also to their inner world as well. How we decide to view the world we live in and adjust to changes is what will decide the nature of our glorious future.

Progression VS Regression

In our latest episode we continue to discuss the difference between progression, which is the act of moving from one thing to another, versus regression, which is an action of returning to a previous state. A society must evolve to meet the basic human needs of its citizens. This includes establishing the building blocks that allow citizens and communities to enhance the quality of their lives, and creating the conditions for all individuals to reach their full potential. A society which fails to communicate effectively, address basic human needs, equip citizens to improve their quality of life, protect the environment, and provide sustainable opportunity for its citizens will not succeed. Adaptation to the outside world involves the forward flow of physical and psychic energy; this is what we call progression.

Regressive Ideology

Dr Harry is what you would call a Progressive; and as always he shares with us the wonderous joys advancing ourselves and moving on from the past. There are always people out there looking to return to the glory that was "the good ol days." There are those out there who feel that the progress society makes comes with certain flaws. Today's topic is regression: which is the state of becoming less advanced; returning to a former or less developed state. Sure, progress comes with a few tough breaks, but couldn't you also say the same about regression? Haven't we worked so hard in the past to create the present we have now? Don't we work hard presently to create a future different from what we have now? Who would want to go back to the past? Was the past even all that great? Who would work hard for things to stay the same? The pursuit of knowledge is easier than ever thanks to our 21st Century high tech society; we are all driven by cell phones and super digital, information highways. Anything you don’t know is a Google search and an article away. Is there any excuse to be ignorant in modern times? Why would you want to stop progress in the name of regress? Term Limits

In this episode Dr Harry discusses more special interest groups such as NORML, PILLAR and USTL among others, all dedicated to helping reach out to politicians in Washington about the issues that people care about. The idea of imposing term limits for Congress has been debated by the public for centuries. There are pros and cons and strong opinions on both sides of the issue, perhaps a surprise, given the electorate's less-than-flattering opinion of their representatives in modern history. Can you think of good arguments in favor for or against having term limits in Congress? What do you think? Proponents of term limits argue that restricting the service of lawmakers ultimately prevents politicians from amassing too much power and becoming too alienated from their constituents. Can you even imagine the mindset of someone in Congress since the 60s? Is it a helpful one? The thinking is that many lawmakers view the work as a career and not a temporary assignment, and therefore spend much of their time posturing, raising money for their re-election campaigns and running for office instead of focusing on the important issues of the day. Insider trading is the trading of a company’s stocks or other securities by individuals with access to confidential or non-public information about the company. Taking advantage of this privileged access is considered a breach of the individual’s duties. For many years, members of Congress have routinely exploited legal loopholes to engage in insider trading and line their own pockets — which of course is a criminal offense for all citizens. Do you think it’s fair, even in a free society, that members of government are allow to trade stocks?

There’s a long list of things vets SHOULD have access to. Healthcare, free. Education, free. Job training, anything they need… shouldn’t they get this for all their years of service? On any given night there are at least 100k homeless veterans across the U.S. 30% of vets have disabilities as a result of their service. There has been no proper care for #veterans and we have not rewarded them.. we do not have servicemen who are taken care of.. we have hardened men and women who have gone to hell and back… but are still standing outside, living on the streets, trying to survive. High Speed Chases
