A wonderfully rich conversation with author, Christian Community priest and poet, Rev. Tom Ravetz.

We discuss Tom’s meeting with the work of Rudolf Steiner through the Camphill Movement (dedicated to supporting those with intellectual/physical disabilities) and biodynamic gardening.

We also hear about his encounter with the Christian Community (a non-dogmatic “movement for religious renewal”) the history of Christianity as a whole and the experiential nature of religion… as opposed to its dogmas.

Of particular interest to me was Tom’s description of the difference between faith and belief. A new distinction for me.

Since 2013 she is the General Secretary of the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain and is part of the Goetheanum Meditation Worldwide Initiative. In this podcast we discuss Rudolf Steiner's visits to Great Britain and their importance for his own development and the wider spiritual implications.

That was before she began to receive clear signs from her boyfriend from the other side.

This lead her to begin a spiritual journey she never thought possible. I was lucky enough to work with Belle in my program where I help people to develop a relationshiip with the spiritual world and loved ones who've died.

After we worked together she had this to say: "Instead of feeling sad and left-behind, I felt a continuing connection with him, and learned that I could be helpful to him in spirit. This gave me a sense of purpose and wonder".

About today's show - Episode 1

There are so many things that divide us today: our opinions on Covid (masks? maxines? mandates?) our political views (who can even tell what is left/right anymore?)…right down to our eating habits - (plant-based vs meat paste?).

How are we to live together when our ideologies are so opposed?

Rudolf Steiner predicted many of today’s issues including the encroachment of technology into our lives, the east - west tensions and the social divisions. But he also offered ways forward (dare I say: solutions?) from a spiritual perspective.

In today's episode I will put some of this into context in terms of Steiner’s view of the evolution of consciousness. We’ll then look at some things we can do to move towards healing divisions while connecting with the spiritual world.
