The Elevate Leadership Values are based on the eight key leadership values recommended by our friends at LIFT Ireland. These leadership values were identified and developed through independently-run surveys, where national representatives highlighted key leadership attributes which they felt future graduates needed to develop the most.

This week we discussed the Power of Empathy & Understanding, where we unlock how these values can fuel your impact as a future leader. This session was discussed with Adam Crowther, CK (DBS careers coach) and Hamza Razaq.

By making an effort to understand others, we show that we care about their perspectives and experiences, even if we do not share the same view. The ability to understand and empathize with others is one of the greatest attributes that one can possess. Enjoy the show.

This week we cover the important topic of Getting Started in College with the SU team. Inside this weeks pod we have Iona (SU President), Ross Whelan (Ents Officer) and Kesya Rodrigues (VP Communications), who shared their experiences of getting started in college. Each of the guys are from a different programmes and from different paths of life.

Throughout this session we have a chat about their first day in college, what students are most worried about when starting college and the guys shared their experiences and advice on how they adjusted to college. During our talk we discussed their experiences of being a hybrid student last year at DBS and what new students can expect this coming year.
