This Is Who I Am

This week I invite listeners into my personal work space (aka, my office) as a means to describe my current life, how I feel about myself, my work, my family, and even my physical health. I think that the things that lay on my desk, the objects on the walls, and the books I'm reading give a good snapshot of were my mentality is in this season of life. Perhaps your "space" acts as a mirror as well for who you are and what you're experiencing in life. I get pretty "real" in this episode but I also offer some encouragement and hope. She graduated from Purdue University, and is married to her husband, Joe. They have two adult children. Stephen Mirkin - Retired Nice Guy, Sci-Fi Fan, and Podcaster

Introducing Stephen Mirkin (from his own words): I am a baby boomer who was born in 1956. In the 66 years I have been around I've been lucky to watch the world change. I have seen cars go from cheap gas to electric to the evolution of our space program. I have seen the political climate change and also our Earth's environment change as well. I have been lucky to marry the most wonderful person in the world and to have two daughters that love their parents and our best friends. I have a grandson who is a joy and I get to watch a person grow up all over again.

And I am so lucky to be a part of Children's Hospital Los Angeles where I can continue to donate platelets for the patients and volunteer since I retired in 2020. Above it all, I can say, without question, and the film name says it all, it's been "A Wonderful Life". I would not change it for anything!

Steve is retired from the jewelry industry and co-hosts "The Big Sci-Fi Podcast" weekly along with Brian and their friends, Adeena and Cris (both of whom will be on the podcast soon!).

Steve is also a writer and has an article published for Treksphere.com.
