LOGOS

3056 lógos (from 3004 /légō, "speaking to a conclusion") – a word, being the expression of a thought; a saying. 3056 /lógos ("word") is preeminently used of Christ (Jn 1:1), expressing the thoughts of the Father through the Spirit.

[3056 (lógos) is a common term (used 330 times in the NT) with regards to a person sharing a message (discourse, "communication-speech"). 3056 (lógos) is a broad term meaning "reasoning expressed by words."]

1 Corinthians 14:1-5

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. 2For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. 3On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. 4The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. 5Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

PROPHECY

Cognate: 4395 prophēteúō (from 4253 /pró, "before" and 5346 /phēmí, "assert by elevatingone statement over another") – properly, "speak forth" in divinely-empowered forthtelling or foretelling; prophesy. 

In the NT, prophesy (4395 /prophēteúō) occurs 28 times, usually of forthtelling which reveals the mind (message) of God in a particular situation.  4395 /prophēteúō ("prophesy") can also refer to foretelling, i.e. predicting the future as the Lord reveals it.

Living in a way that people always fail to meet your standards and expectations is a miserable way to live.

Unlimited grace for you requires unlimited grace for others.

And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Corinthians 5:15

JAMES 5:17-18

HEBREWS 11:6

Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.

Rewards: Paying What Is Due. ? 

What is due when someone calls on you? You respond. What is due when you seek out relationship? Relationship is due. 

God REWARDS those who seek Him.

Consider the kind of extravagant love the Father has lavished on us—He calls us children of God! It’s true; we are His beloved children. And in the same way the world didn’t recognize Him, the world does not recognize us either.

Extravagent: exceeding what is reasonable or appropriate; absurd...lacking restraint in spending money or using resources.

1 John 4:18-19

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.

The Lord wants to address our thinking again. 

At the prayer service, we were praying “Your will on earth as it is in heaven.”

The Lord began showing me that we are:

• Carriers of Heaven! 
• The Lord wants to release the Kingdom of God through us, every where we go. Living in sync with his heart and his ways, obedient to the spirit in us, releasing heaven on earth in all things. 
• Oaks of righteousness, on display for his glory. 
• Vessels carrying his glory into the earth / sourced from a heavenly place. 
• But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
• Ephesians 2:4

BUT DO WE REALLY BELIeVE THIS?! 

What have we believed about who we are in Christ?

What thoughts do we have toward ourselves?

•   Our abilities
•   Our inadequacies 
•   Our lack?

We need to bring our thoughts under the judgement of the word. 

Hebrews 4:12-13

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Division of Soul & Spirit - Is this me, or is this God? Is this the mind of Jason, of is this the Mind of Christ!? 

How am I thinking? Am I setting my mind on the flesh ( soul ) or am I setting my mind on the Spirit? 

JUDGE MY THOUGHTS LORD

Submit your thoughts and attitudes to God for judgment. 

Lord, here’s how I’m feeling. Here’s what I’m thinking. Here’t the current attitude of my heart. 

Give your judgement, Lord. 

Is this Soul? Is this Spirit? 

Are we SOUL thinking or are we SPIRIT thinking? 

Romans 8:6-8

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Is my mind set on the flesh, or is my mind set on the Spirit? 

We can’t sort out the flesh by acting in the flesh. 

We sort out the flesh by acting in the Spirit. 

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh, 4 since the weapons of our warfare† are not of the flesh, but are powerful† through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge† of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Stronghold : a fortified, military stronghold; a strong-walled fortress

Joshua 6:20

 Trading our Weakness For His Strength.

32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson and Jephthah, about David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; ( who found strength in weakness ) and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.

Hebrews 11:32-34

They found strength In weakness,

Weakness produces dependency.

41 Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Matthew 26:41

• Our weakness is our flesh.
• Our answer is the Spirit.
• Our answer is not stronger flesh.
• Our source has never been an earthly Christ but the heavenly God head made manifest on earth.

Jesus is our Source. Jesus as the source for all things. My source of all things.

“Concerning this, I pleaded with the Lord three times that it would leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:8-9‬ ‭CSB‬‬

Weakness is the prerequisite for Christ's power in us.

• We are empty to be filled
• We are weak to be made strong
• Our weakness is not a flaw.
• Our weakness is our opportunity for STRENGTH in HIM!
• Weakness is an opportunity for POWER to manifest in our live

What if we took pleasure in our weaknesses?

“So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

When we're weak, he's strong.

I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.”

 Jesus is adressing LUKEWARMNESS.

The lukewarmness was COMPLACENCY & INDEPENDENCE.

I'm rich = I’m fully resourced.

RICH = 4145 ploúsios (an adjective, derived from 4149 /ploútos, "abundance") – properly, fully resourced; rich (filled), by having God's "muchness" – i.e. His abundance that comes from receiving His provisions (material and spiritual riches) through faith (4102 /pístis).    

·     I'm good. No worries.   

·     I've got all I need, I'm doing well.

·     I can solve my own issues.

·     I can handle sin on my own.

·     I can produce my own righteousness, if I simply try hard enough.

The Problem : Wretched, poor, pitiable, blind, naked.

The solution: Buy from Jesus. 

·     Gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich

·     White garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen

·     And salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.

He gave everything he had so we'd have everything we didn't. Christ is our solution to all of our inadequacies, faults, flaws, poverty.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9.

How do we buy what we can’t afford?

We give anything and everything we have. We give it all. 

WE TRADE ALL OF OUR INADEQUATE RESOURCES FOR HIS!!!

We trade our brokeness to gain his wholeness.

We trade our unrefined gold for his refined gold. 

We trade our filthy rags for his white garments.

We trade our blindness for HIS SIGHT.

We trade our weakness for his strength.

We trade our less than enough for his more than enough. 

We fully surrender everything to him.

Some KINGDOM PRINCIPLES AT PLAY

The poor are made rich.

The naked are clothed.

The blind have sight.

To gain HIS riches. 

Wisdom, knowledge, understanding. Spiritual riches.

Stepping into spiritual authority. 

    Prodigal son was given a ring, sandals, a robe and a meal with the Father .... 

A ring on our finger signifying authority we’ve not earned

Sandals on our feet showing Status we’ve not strived to attain , living in sonship and freedom.  

The Father's robe, clothing us in his righteousness, giving us his appearance, walking in his likeness. 

Eating at a table in intimacy, consuming food and having our fill of that which will never leave us empty.

It begins with intimacy. 

2 Chronicles 7:14

and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

His will for our land.... Healing. Bringing the Kingdom come WHEREVER WE ARE!

Hebrews 6

1Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2and of instruction about washings,a the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3And this we will do if God permits.

Do we really want HIM or just the things that come along with him? 

SEEK MY FACE | Do we want to KNOW HIM? Do we want HIS HEART?

We are being conformed into the image of the son.

This word IMAGE

1504 eikṓn (from 1503 /eíkō, "be like") – properly, "mirror-like representation," referring to what is very close in resemblance (like a "high-definition" projection, as defined by the context). Image (1504 /eikṓn) then exactly reflects its source (what it directly corresponds to). For example, Christ is the very image (1504 /eikṓn, supreme expression) of the Godhead (see 2 Cor 4:4; Col 1:15).

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

We must recognize that the sin, struggles and temptations we face are COMMON TO MAN.

We must recognize that if we are IN CHRIST, we are going through the process, and it's the SAME PROCESS.

We partner with God in this process in our lives.

We partner with God in this process in the lives of others.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[b] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

How does Christ love the CHURCH? By giving himself up for her

IN ORDER TO:

• Make her holy ( Sanctification )
• How does he make her holy ( cleansing by washing with water through the word )
• RHEMA WORD - a spoken word, made "by the living voice"
• Present her to himself as a
• Radiant Church
• Without Stain or wrinkle
• or any other blemish
• Holy
• Blameless ( unblemished from the marring effects of sin. )

How do we love the Church? ( THE PEOPLE )

We give ourselves up.

    We give up our right to be offended.

    We give up our right to be RIGHT.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

1 Corinthians 13:4-6

How are you loving people in their process?

    Or Are you impatient, unkind, envious, boastful, proud, dishonoring, self seeking, easily angered, keeping record of wrongs, holding grudges, delighting in evil, un-trusting, lacking hope, giving up?

Love allows for empathy.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Hebrews 4:15-16

We empathize with weakness.

If we do not, we suffer from pride.

We can approach God with confidence and receive mercy and grace in our time of need.

The other question is, can others approach YOU with confidence that they'll receive the same grace and mercy that YOU'VE received from God?

John 13:34-35

People don't need to be loved based on meeting an expectation of worthiness of love... love arrives far before having met conditions. I don't know how to love like that. Christ does. Draw from Him and it is possible.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Corinthians 15:49 says "And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man."

The Image of God is IN us! As we experience the Lord and learn from Him, we can share those things with the body of Christ and the world, thus bearing that image to those watching and listening. Our prayer is that you'll be activated to share what the Lord is doing in YOU.
