Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the mountains, there lived a kind and generous old man named Tom. Tom had lived in the village for his entire life and was beloved by all who knew him.

One day, a group of children were playing near Tom's house when they noticed that his garden was overgrown and in need of some attention. The children decided to take it upon themselves to tidy up Tom's garden, picking weeds and planting new flowers.

When Tom saw what the children had done, he was overjoyed. He thanked the children and invited them into his house for some warm apple cider and freshly baked cookies. As they sat and chatted, Tom shared stories about his youth and the adventures he had when he was their age.

The children were enthralled by Tom's stories, and they came back to visit him often, bringing with them new stories of their own. Tom's house became a gathering place for the children in the village, and he became a beloved mentor and friend to all of them.

Years went by, and Tom grew old and eventually passed away. But his memory lived on in the hearts of the children who had spent so much time with him. And whenever they walked past Tom's old house, they couldn't help but smile and remember the warm, kind-hearted man who had touched their lives so deeply.
