A bit late getting my Podcast up again this week I was really busy taking care of business and sorting things out. The music business is a tough business to be in and one has to constantly be hustling for the next gig or assignment. Four of my Compositions got picked for Music licensing though which was pretty good. I already had one of my compositions considered for a show that was on Netflix a few years back they didn't use it though. Even now I'm working on brand new compositions for another Album and to keep building my repertoire of Compositions. But here is a pet peeve that I do have about the human condition. Why only last week I was in a conversation with some chap that runs a Music venue downtown.Just looking to get a booking with the band I currently run. Don't you just hate people that give you all this song & dance about wanting to check the band out before they book you at their establishment and say when they will show up and then don't even bother to show up after all that talk and then give some Bullshit excuse as to why they didn't show up? I knew the dude was a wanker from the get-go but I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt which he then went on to prove me right from the get-go. Another pet peeve I also have is two-faced people you know the ones smiling and shaking your hand in your face but sticking the knife in your back the moment your back is turned. Now when i turned on the news i'm watching some of these truckers talking about their freedom etc and then i find out its about the mandate for Truckers to get vaccinated .Now mandates are already in play in the states so these brainless imbeceles are going to be screwed because they would'nt be allowed across the border without getting the vaccine. So the way i see it ,these morons are driving for the freedom to potentially infect other people because of their non vaccinated status.Personally if these assholes catch the virus they should just stay home and isolate and not bother to go to the hospital and have the doctors and nurses treat their stupid dumb asses. Alots been happening of late .I'v been rehearsing in 2 bands recently so i'v been farely busy organizing and getting things done.Putting a band together can be a major pain in the ass getting the right Musicians who have the same mindset as oneself and getting everybody onboard to meet up for practice at the same time etc .But when it all comes together its a magical situation .Theres nothing like it .Been shopping about looking to invest in new gear as well ,Keyboards, Bass Amps ,i'm a gear head junkie i love playing on my Keyboards and Bass Guitars ,& Percussion.Its hard to resist the temptation sometimes especially when most folks are feeling the pinch right now due to this pandemic.But music is my life .Anyways check out this latest Podcast ,hopefully it will lift your spirits and put you in a good mood.Don't forget to check out my links for Music drop me a line if you want to ask me questions etc @ marcusdavis40@yahoo.ca.

I can tell you that i had an experience on the drive back home last Friday while listening to the radio.I was listening to Jazz FM while driving ,the DJ decided to play a Billy Cobham track from his Spectrum album which came out in 1974.It was the second track on the B side Stratus i believe it was titled.For those of you who are familiar ,you can imagine that drum solo  at the start of the track .Soon as i heard that, i was fired up and started air drumming in the car. I got a few looks but i do not recommend this air drumming while driving .Some other news though ,my good buddy Renato a Drummer are in the process of putting a brand new band together .We call ourselves The R&B Fusion Collective.We're rehearsing and practicing at the moment so when we're ready to go out on the road you can buy tickets to come check us out .In the meantime, if you have any questions that you want to relay to me about Music, Instruments ,Recording ,Production etc ,then fire away .I'll be only too glad to answer them .I'll talk all day about Gear ,Instruments ,& Making Music . Finally i noticed that restrictions have been lifted in relation to the Covid situation.I'm sure alot of folks are quite happy to carry on with their life and get things back to normal ,whatever normal is .Personally i'm still wearing my mask and being cautious.I'v already had the first Vaccination and will get my second Vacs next month.Even though they've lifted restrictions i'm still not comfortable with how things are ,especially with this new variant of the virus which is reported to be even worse.Most of Europe has been hit pretty bad and some of the States is in pretty bad shape as well .So yeah i'm still going to be careful.In the meantime enjoy this latest offering of my Podcast.
