While walking through the festival she meets several artists, one of whom is Ben Ferguson. In addition to exhibiting some of his art, Ben also ansered a call for art by the Inter-Island Traveling Exhibit, funded by the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas in Nassau. He submitted a wall painting project, speaking to the subject of mental health. She visits the site in Freeport, and speaks with Ben, as well as two volunteers.</p><p>Caperton also visits the home of Grand Bahama’s legendary Platinum Knights Junkanoo Band, speaking with their leader, Junior, Thomas Curry, Jr. Junkanoo music booms from the rhythms of bass drums, snares, and cow bells, with trumpets and whistles too. Junior is hyper organized with all the prep needed for Platinum Knights to look, sound, and dance their best for the New Year’s Parade on Grand Bahama. This protects biodiversity and coastal communities.&nbsp;</p><br><p>Caperton visits CoralVita, the coral farm on Grand Bahama. While one of the interns, all of whom are paid, tours Caperton through the farm, she explains the process of micro-fragmentation, and how this method produces more healthy corals to be implanted into the sea. Caperton then talks with a CoralVita marine ecologist and a marine conservation biologist.
