Realizing in my 30's how financially illiterate I was disheartening. All I knew was to work hard and save ALL my money, because that was the safest! I realized that all I had were liabilities around me that took my money and no assets which had me stuck in the rat race to work work work!

I realized that instead of saving my money I needed to learn to invest my money.

First Generation Guilt

First generation guilt is when we feel like we are abandoning our roots and we feel guilty for pursuing our own opportunities. We second doubt ourselves because our wishes go against our family expectations and raisings. Our parents were not exposed to the opportunities that we have and sometimes they don't typically understand why we do what we do. As the next generation we are ready to succeed and get to a higher level than where our parents are. We live to reach self-actualization and generation guilt is definitely a roadblock that we may bump into.

Recognizing Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome is a familiar struggle for women in business despite overwhelming evidence of skill, talents and achievements. It's the feeling that you don't deserve any recognition. I share my own experience and what triggered me to recognize it. As Latinas, we devalue ourselves by thinking that we are not smart enough to be where we are, and we are convinced of it to a degree that may stop us from achieving our goals. Recognizing the signs is the first step to overcoming Imposter Syndrome and as minorities being first generation, we are most likely to suffer from this. Embrace your strengths and accomplishments because you deserve to be where you are!!

Trusting and believing that God gives it all and owns it all. He designated us to have a life of abundance and be caretakers of his blessings. When you own a wealthy mindset, you level up and continue to grow in spirit, mind and assets. Your relationship with yourself and your money changes. Money is just a tool that we are blessed with, we need to see it as a tool that is useless unless we put it to work for us. Daily wealth affirmations to accept wealth into our lives, are you ready? Do you accept the abundance God has for you? It takes following a journey uphill and using our challenges to grow!
