Classic Tequila Shot

1½ ounces silver tequila
Lime wedge
Kosher salt

Pour the tequila into a chilled shot glass. Rub the area between the thumb and forefinger with the lime wedge to moisten the skin. Sprinkle salt on the moistened area. Lick the salt, then quickly gulp the tequila, and bite into the lime wedge.

1 ounce Cointreau (or triple sec)
Dash of blue curaçao
3 to 4 ounces chilled club soda

Pour the bourbon and lime juice into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Add the sugar and grenadine and stir well.

Dark and Stormy

1 to 2 slices fresh ginger (optional)
2 ounces dark rum
½ tablespoon ginger syrup or simple syrup
3 to 4 ounces chilled ginger beer
2 lime wedges

Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice and add the fresh ginger. Add the rum and ginger syrup, and stir. Top with ginger beer. Squeeze the lime wedges over the drink and drop them in.

Directions: In the bottom of a highball glass, muddle together the lime juice, sugar, and mint leaves until the sugar is dissolved. Add the rum. Fill the glass with ice and top with club soda. Garnish with the mint sprig.

grenadine , few drops to a splash
