People who ask to borrow your things and then think it's ok to keep them forever are usually self-centred (or to put it another way - thieves!). What a cheek! Don't you just hate it when someone asks to borrow a book from you?! Every fibre of your body is screaming 'no' as you hand it over and prepare to never see it again. Let's have a look at why we are easy targets for these people (because we're people-pleasing 'yes' people) and how we can put a stop to it - wimp style.

Us wimps find it extremely difficult to say no. We are natural people pleasers who automatically say yes. We don't like to think we are offending someone or letting them down, and we certainly don't want a confrontation. Let's look at some wimp style hacks to assert no secretly without the exploiter even realising.
