I didn’t just study resilience—I lived it. I’ve faced trauma, PTSD, sleep paralysis, and missed school due to a serious accident. I battled self-worth issues, survived domestic abuse, and navigated life as a single parent with no financial support, while also climbing the ladder in a demanding career.

I worked hard to create a life for my family. But even then, I was dragged down by others. Despite that, I kept going. And if I can build a life rooted in strength and purpose, so can you.

Even small risks—like sending a bold email or posting a video—can feel huge. But growth only happens when we start facing those fears.

A few years ago, I walked on fire. Not once, but twice. And while it might sound extreme, it taught me something powerful: fear is temporary, but the confidence you gain from facing it lasts forever.

I’ve also walked on glass—and that was even harder. Why? Because my brain connected it with real pain. We've all had that moment when a tiny shard of glass ends up in your foot. The memory alone is enough to trigger fear. But I did it anyway.

Fear convinces us that the worst will happen. It plays on our past experiences and blows up our imagination. But when you actually face it—when you take that step—you realise something amazing: you’re capable of far more than you think.

Watching others do something brave can spark something in us. I remember seeing a young lad confidently crunch across the glass before me. I thought, If he can do it, so can I. And I did.

Facing Fear in Everyday Life

Let’s be clear: I’m not suggesting you go walk on fire or glass (unless you fancy it!). But there are so many everyday ways to challenge yourself:

So, how did I do it?

Let me take you right back to where it all started.

The Power of a Belief Spoken Into Reality

After separating from my daughter’s dad—we were together for 11 years—I found myself standing at the edge of something new. He hated the heat, and for over a decade, I’d suppressed my love for sunshine and adventure. But once we split, something inside me clicked.

I remember saying to friends, “I’m going to travel the world. I’ve got time to make up for.” And I didn’t just say it—I spoke it with conviction. There was no doubt in my mind. It was already happening, as far as I was concerned.

I didn’t know how. I just knew it was done. I believed it so deeply that the universe had no choice but to align.

Enter: The Opportunity That Changed Everything

Shortly after that, I started a new career in sales. It wasn’t glamorous at first—basic salary, commission-based—but then I discovered something that lit a fire inside me.

My company offered all-expenses-paid holidays for those who smashed their targets—like really smashed them (we’re talking 400% of your target). And I remember thinking, “This is it. This is how it’s going to happen.”

Within a few months, I hit my first target and was rewarded with a trip to Barcelona. That first taste of luxury travel was unforgettable. Flights, hotels, gourmet meals, excursions—all covered. The only thing I had to pay for was souvenirs.

And it didn’t stop there.

Over the next few years, I qualified for trip after trip: Mauritius, Dubai, New York, Cape Town... each experience more incredible than the last.

Belief + Action = Magic

Now let me be clear: I worked hard. These holidays weren’t raffled or handed out randomly. I earned them. But I also believe—truly—that I manifested the opportunity in the first place.

I didn’t sit around making vision boards or writing in journals (although those things can be powerful too). I simply spoke my desire out loud—with total belief—and the path revealed itself.

I aligned myself with the version of me who had already travelled the world.

And then, I became her.

Manifestation Isn’t Magic—It’s Alignment

This experience taught me that manifestation is a mix of mindset and movement. You must believe it’s possible. Speak it as if it’s already happening. And when the opportunity arrives, go for it with everything you’ve got.

Because I have. And it’s one of the most empowering things I’ve ever known.

Your Words Shape Your World

Are you speaking your dreams into reality?

Or are you unknowingly speaking lack?

Start noticing the language you use. Speak from a place of certainty and conviction. You don’t have to know how—you just need to know it will.
